I've been there a few times, just a couple hours from my house. Factor in he did it all without plans and out of different woods. No lubrication required. As the woods he used for bearing blocks heats up, the natural oils release. I had also heard that the Pennsy had issues with one of their steam locomotive designs and had Mr Warther help figure it out. Don't know if it is true or not, but cool none the lesss.
