Driveline measurement

I have a 2015 B2601, snow blower B2782 and subframe mount B2798. The yoke on the PTO driveline is getting worn and the yoke is wobbling on the subframe spline. the yoke covers 1 5/8" of the spline. I am trying to figure why there is wear at all since there is no movement of the spline/yoke connection. Any ideas? I have ordered a new driveline as a first step. Thanks.

Maybe lack of grease?

The small cyclic acceleration/deceleration due to the u-joints can cause small movement which could wear over time due to lack of lubrication. This could be compounded by the wet salty environment causing rust during the season.

Bad u-joints could also contribute.

This is only a guess on my part, but it seems plausible.
