Thanks guys.

This was a blast making. I have actually been planning it for a few months now. The auger motor was the big question and it took a while to get to the guys that know the product over at AugerTorque.

They make two models that are smaller than this one. I was going to go that route when the tech really got into what made each of them good for a certain task, he was adamant that this setup would work on the machine and he was pretty much spot on with the RPM's.

I have one more item (electronic) I am adding to the build, then I will write it all up.
Hopefully, the one more item is a remote tied into the third function so you can operate the drum rotation from in front of the tractor. I know it would be on my short list.

Very nice build, I like what you have done, and it certainly fits a need. If I had many more projects that needed holes and cement, I would certainly copy your approach to that problem. Heck, I might build one like yours just in case.

Yup that is the coolest thing ever
Add my name to the list for production, what a fantastic build, well though out and planned. I could definitely see myself playing with that.

If you were to add the post pounder option too, that would make it the swiss army knife of fencing

I am now over 300 holes and I must say this setup is fantastic.

This morning I drilled 56 holes in 45 minutes. Most of the time was spent positioning between holes. It was easy going by NH standards just sand, clay and roots.

The mount on the top left and right on the plate put the unit in perfect view for spotting the hole markers.
So prototype testing is done, when are you going into mass production so we all get one :D

Nice work.
Is is easy enough to add a shear bolt or an adjustable pressure relief valve in the hydraulic circuit to protect the auger?
