the Fuel Filter for the L2002 from (above link) is a spin on type, while the one I used was a cartridge type....suspect that some L2002s were produced using each type of fuel filter.

Here is the complete (314 page) summary of the investigation by the International Trade Commission which led to the lawsuit brought by Kubota. The report, "In the Matter of Certain Agricultural Tractors Under 50 Power Take-Off Horsepower" is dated March 1997:

Of particular interest is the Fact Finding section, which begins on page 201. Item number 141 in that section (on page 220) states, "Complainant...identified twenty-five "known gray market models of Kubota tractors". In addition, complainant identified 19 equivalent U. S. model tractors and the dates of production for each of the tractors, as follows: (table).

This seemed to be a pivotal aspect of the case - that there was no justification for importation of gray market tractors to the US, because equivalent models of US tractors existed.

I noticed some articles that 'used' to be on this site are now missing.
I am going to attach them here, most if not all are 'gray market' oriented.
