Anyone done this? If so how did you do it? My thought is to swap out the standard M7060 3pt lift assist cylinders with the cylinders used on the M8560 (if they fit). Additional thoughts on this subject welcomed.

I'm just talking "Hot Rod" here, but you could remove the present lift and see if it will accommodate an "over bore". A bigger piston, perhaps from the M8560.

Or, Check the Chicago Rawhide catalog for useful sealing elements, and produce a piston that works with the housing you have. The pistons are o-ring sealed with a backing ring, nothing complicated.

Then there is the idea of boosting the hydraulic PRESSURE.

Do you KNOW the upper pressure value that is set at the present time?

Per chance, don't you have 2 sets of holes in your lift arms? I do on my M9's and I had the same on my 105X. The inner holes give you maximum 3 point lift, are you using those or the outer holes (if you have 2 sets like I do).

I know (from experience) on my M's, the inner set gives you enough lift to make the front end very light without a loader on.

Sidecarflip brings up an IMPORTANT detail!

Unless you NEED the additional travel, the leverage is better when the lift links are near the load!

Replacing the cylinders with larger dimeter ones will increase capacity BUT ( and there's always one..) do your homework as see IF the rest of the 'system' will survive the increased load. 3pt arms, pins, mtg pts on tractor...ALL need to be rated for the heavier load, especially the 'shock' load ( going over a bump..).
I don't know what your series tractor is rated for, others may, but ANYTIME you overload something, 'bad' things can happen....

Likely on your 7060, as exists on the 7040, there is already provision to change the geometry of the 3 pt lift. There is a height position and a power position. Accomplished by two different holes for the lift links to connect to the lower 3 pt arms.

Doing more than that invites serious problems.
