I have a BX22 with hydrostatic trans, FEL, belly mower, and backhoe. I found the dipstick to check the hydraulic fluid level and it has two marks. When checking the level; do I do it cold or hot, and do the implements need to be in any certain position. FEL up or down, etc.........TOM

The general rule to checking fluid levels is to check before you start using the machine at the start of the day. This is with everything on the ground and lowered. When you look at the stick the fluid level should be between the 2 marks. I always preferred a dipstick that had holes in it as they are easier to read when the machine gets older then the hash marks.

Thanks for the quick response Michael. It was hard to get in there to pull the stick and the fluid was so clean I could not get a great reading. I kept pulling and touching with my finger to try and find the oil.
