I have damaged (or debris-filled) threads on one position of my front hub after the old lug bolt seized. I'd like to run a tap through to see if I can't restore the threads. Does anybody know what tap size I should use? Measurements indicate it's an M14x1.5 but I'd like to confirm before ordering. Any other advice is welcome. Thanks.

why not just use a 9/16-18 tap ? If you don't have one, grab a grade5 9/16-18 bolt and run a dremel cutoff 90* to the threads? Even a fine hacksaw will do the same.oil it, in 360 back off 90, in 360 back off 90, in ............

Reporting back to confirm that the front lug bolts are 9/16 - 18 TPI. Thread restorer worked great.

Thanks all.
