...and now I have small leak coming from one of the female flat-faced couplers on one of the rear hydraulic lines.

I have a few questions that a quick search around didn't help answering:

  1. Do the female couplers have an o-ring that is easily replacable?
  2. If not, I take it that I have to replace the female coupler by unscrewing it from the hydraulic lines?
  3. If that is the case then do I need to completely drain all of the hydraulic fluid out and completely replace it?
  4. Or is it simpler than that and I am missing something?

Sorry if these have been answered elsewhere, I was not able to locate these questions.

If anyone was wondering I am running a 2018 BX23s with about 180 hours on it.

Replace don't rebuild the coupler.

No fluid draining required, you'll only loose a little bit.

No pipe tape, only pipe dope to seal the new coupler.

Great advice, thanks for the quick response. Looks like I have to stop off at the Kubota Dealership on my way home. I have the pipe dope on hand in the basement, thanks for mentioning that as I would have used tape as that is what the factory used.

Remember to let the pressure out of the system by operating one of the controls while the unit is off (like the fel).
