I have a L2850 with a BF500 front end loader and my 3 point will not work unless I curl the bucket on the loader. Does anyone know what this could be and what I need to do to fix the problem. Thank you in advance. John

More history would help.

Is this a recent problem?

Did you remove, replace any hoses on the loader?

I do not have a manual for your tractor but most feed the rear of the tractor through a power beyond port on the loader valve.

I suspect you have a hose in the wrong place.

Sounds like a problem in the fel control.
Is it sloppy? Can you wiggle it and make the 3pt work?
It is blocking the flow somehow.

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the quick couplers. I had a similar situation when a stick hit one and partially disconnected it.

Check that hoses are located correctly at the hydraulic block - and control slot points to C

Attachment shows hydraulic block 7 and valve 10

- OUT on block goes to P on valve (pressure)

- T (tank) on valve goes to T on front of block

- PB on valve (pwr-beyond) goes to IN on block

- control slot on block points to C (loader bypass)

Hope this helps, Dick B
