Hi, we have just put my newly aquired B1400 or B7200 back to together after buying it with no steering.. but now we have a question... we can't find either online, on the tractor, or in the manuals, how to deselect 4wd. As we will have to run the tractor on a side road for short journeys this is vital.. Any help appreciated thanks

Go to kubotabooks.com and download the operators manual for the b1400.

Looks like the 4wd lever is left side just under seat.

Give me more pictures of all the levers you can find, and a picture of the rear of the front axle too please.
The 4wd won't be automatic, it will be mechanically engaged in some way.

That's why i need pictures of the rear of the front axle, as there is one exception to the manual 4wd, and that would be what they call a bispeed front axle, it is somewhat automatic.

sorry for the delay.. there was no access to this forum from france at least for the past few days! I've uploaded 2.. no idea what I'm meant to be taking?..
Yea the forum was down for all of us. :(

Your on the right track, but i need to see the propeller shaft input, that's where the bispeed case might be located if equipped.

Also I think I might remember one model that had an electrical switch for the 4wd, so look around the steering wheel and dash.

Wolfman, I seem to recall one with a switch also.....darned if I remember anything else about it, other than MAYBE it was one of the grey’s with the “fancy” drive control system???
Hmmm...don’t remember what that’s called either...crops up very seldom....

Pictures helped a lot.

It's not a Bispeed

What does the red handled lever do in the picture with the shifter?

MonroeMatic is some odd Kubota system I have seen mentioned a few times

I'm a little in the dark as I haven't ever seen a B1400 in person, they are not very common in the US.

Can you determine what the sticker in post #14 is trying to depict. Looks like some sort of engagement of two shafts but no lever is near the sticker (that I see)
I think it is the differential lock. And the square pedal engages it.

I would have thought that one of the straight levers would have been high and low and the other one the 4wd??
