Let's not get into an offshoot of what's right or what's wrong. ;)

One thing is you can not even compare this to the normal flu virus, it's not even in the same ballpark!

I apologize. I was just making a comparison to the 3,000 number that had been posted above mine.

I agree, this COVID-19 compares to nothing that we have ever experienced.

Our Governor has ordered our state shut down as of 5:00PM Friday for any incidental travel other than gas, pharmacy, & groceries. I suppose that work related is OK. ??

NO !!!

You STAY AWAY from as many people as possible and don't touch anything someone else has.....

Up here 'essential' means food, drugs, gas, etc open.. rest is shutdown...
if the entire World would have shutdown , 100%, CV19 would be long dead...

Here is a useful article that discusses that point. We must buy time...Jay is quite right, the best way to do that right now is/was isolation. I am having to sit on my typing hands to stop from going on a rant about government officials of all types who dither mindlessly. Somebody around here says "Learn from other people's mistakes you don't have time to make them all yourself." So help me god, there should be a requirement for these jokers to know some science to get elected.

Without getting into a big discussion about it, if it's anything like here their only in office because there was no one better to vote for. Man this virus is just not letting up however they seem to be having partial success with this malaria drug, (hydroxychloroquine) even though it's not a cure it seems to aid in the recovery. In my experience and take that with a grain of salt, once they get even a little crack in the armor it isn't long before they get the door opened a little further each time. If you start to get down and feel sorry for yourself well it's not time for that yet, we may have a ways to go yet.

Been hearing than younger folks are not heeding "stay at home" or "social distancing" as they should, and the AZ covid 19 data supports that.
Morons.

Even though I don't agree with it and I wish it were different in one way I can understand it. At that age I was 6'6 and bulletproof like most of my friends that age. None of us ever watched the news or even thought about it, yep, morons pretty much sums it up. Hope you're feeling better Bill and all is good with the family.

Yep, almost human again, Thanks.
Everyone is well so far, but worried that the wife is getting WAY to much exposure, taking her dad to dialysis 3-4 days a week, grocery shopping with her mom 3-4 days a week, (mom insists she must get groceries at least 3 days per week) plus dealing with insurance, medicare, prescriptions, doc appointments, etc, etc. Her worthless brothers & sisters are no help- "We can't help, we're at risk!"
No shite sherlock, what do you think we are?
Morons.
Sorry, rant off.

Here's a kicker. Local nursing home in town that got hit pretty hard. Once everyone was tested, they had 37 patients and 12 staff members.

Out of the 12 staff members, only 4 got sick. The other 8 that tested positive, never developed any symptoms at all.

Makes you wonder how many people are walking around with it.

I feel really sad, the people who are suffering and dying directly and also those who's livelihood has now been destroyed and each day getting worse before it slowly becomes better.

None of us know how it will eventually effect us overall.

Folks we will be living in a different world with a very different perspective.

We've been hit pretty hard here, and I fear others are in much worse shape.

Seeing the numbers of the people that have come down with Covid-19, is unnerving.

Also very disheartening is the amount of health care workers that have contracted it while treating others. :(

Every morning I get up looking for some glimmer of hope only to be disappointed. It's becoming quite obvious that this is not going away anytime soon. This is not a time for fighting or prejudice, everyone must join together to beat this one and who knows something good may come out of it. My heart goes out to all the health care workers and others on the front lines who have to go out there day after day putting their lives in danger and the lives of their loved ones. Heroes every one of them and for that I thank you, God bless you all.

THAT's the problem. Some people think their invicible and become 'carriers', spreading CV19 all over the place.

If everyone in the world stood 6 feet apart for 2 weeks, on day 16 we'd be 'back to normal'....
Obviously that can't happen, but the more that do 'social distance' WILL minimize the spread.

I'm certainly practicing safe distancing, cleanliness and all the other things to minimize contact and potential spread.

But, like you said, people are unwittingly spreading it because they never had any symptoms that were that bad. And, there are those that just don't care.

But, in the end, I think Covid-19 will become just another virus we will have to live with and adapt to. Eradication will be impossible, just like the flu and colds.

So what is um or ym or what ever it is?
The micrometre (international spelling as used by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures; SI symbol: ***956;m) or micrometer (American spelling), also commonly known by the previous deprecated name micron, is an SI derived unit of length equalling 1×10***8722;6 metre (SI standard prefix "micro-" = 10***8722;6); that is, one ...

A "micron" is an abbreviated term for "micrometer", or a millionth of a meter (1/1,000,000 meters). This is about . 00004 inches. For Size comparison, a human red blood cell is about 5 microns across.
