I had my first regen today at 38 hrs. I was using the tractor and the regen came on and showed I need to increase RPM, which I did. It took a little less than 10 minutes. I continued to use the tractor. The whole process was completely uneventful. After reading so many post about it, I expected something exciting (balloons, dancing girls, flying monkeys, something), but low and behold, completely unexciting.

All these "first regen" posts, One would think it's about like a teenager "getting lucky".

Sure glad I have missed out on all this re-gen business with my 2009 B3200. The stuff may work good when the tractor is new but what will it work like in 5-10 years from now? The Diesel trucks with the re-gen end up spending lots of $$$ keeping it working or end up selling the truck. Since these tractors with the re-gen junk are not checked by smog checks, doesn't someone make a software package to bypass everything so you can remove all the stuff?
I had a 2013 VW TDI Jetta wagon and it seemed that it was doing re-gens all of the time. When I found out they had scammed the EPA or whomever and cheated on the software on the car, I sold it back to VW. Diesels have been in my "Barn" since 1980 when I bought a 48 hp VW Dasher Diesel wagon. That car gave me 19 years and 260,000 miles of good service. My B3200 is my 3rd Kubota. I drive a 2007 Cummins 5.9 powered Dodge pickups that was built in December 18 2006, so it is one of the last 5.9's before the 6.7 came out in Jan 1, 2007 and with all the re-gen stuff. The Dodges with the pre, DEF systems, owners were told that the trucks needed to be run with good loads to keep the equipment from failing.

They have been using diesels underground for decades, all the newer one have DPF filters and guess what they run just fine, filters need replaced and regens happen all the time. SO no big deal it is what it is and we the people are never going to change it back
