Call them and ask. They suggested the 60 inch for my MX5800 with the LA1065 loader on it last year. Took a couple months or more from order time to build till I got it. Will be one of ur most useful tools once u get it

I recently got a 60" single lid version from them. I called and they didn't offer much guidance at the time with me. My 60" is if anything a little too much but it works OK on my L3010. Its built very well. I fear I would damage the loader before the grapple failed. If I were to do it over, I would go with a 54" and maybe even the lighter 50" version for my tractor. The 60" should be great with your loader. No complaints with the workmanship and quality of the wicked root grapple.

You might have one by fall if you order now. They're way backed up on orders.

Thanks for the replies! I was leaning toward 60", I'll see what they think/suggest. I called last week and was told that they're 6 to 8 weeks out, ugh. Lol

Don't sweat the wait! It is worth it.

Well after thinking it over and weighing out the pros and cons of buying the EA grapple, I've decided to go with another grapple. While I really like the quality and functionality of the EA the wait was just too long for me. It's not that I'm impatient it's just that I need to clear the site for our pole barn. And with a delivery time of about two and half months that would put me too close to fall to begin clearing the lot. And building would push back into late fall. Not a great time to be building a barn in northeastern Michigan, lol. So I chose to go with the MTL Attachments HD 66 root grapple. It was here in 6 days, and that's including the weekend. Very impressed with the sale and with Cliff. If you have any questions you just text him and he gets back to you promptly. I can't say enough good about him. As far as the grapple itself, I'm pretty impressed. I bought the one with the double top, it weighs in at just under 500lbs. I went out as soon as I got it mounted up and it performed great. I moved a bunch of stumps that I pulled out with the backhoe and then went after a big ole brush pile that the logging company left after lumbering off some of the property. All in all this seems like a well built product and I believe it's more than adequate for my needs. The price was just an extra bonus along with the quick delivery after it was ordered. I would've bought the EA if they would've been available for delivery sooner than two months. But after getting the MTL I can say I'm very happy with my purchase and glad it turned out the way it did. It was $899 + $149 for shipping.

Thanks for the MTL recommendation. Waiting on my MX to show up and start buying attachments.

I ended up with an MTL 60" double lid for my L4240. It does everything I need it to do with no concerns about is a competitor's model better.

There is a slight learning curve to be able to roll, grab, and get a full bite. After an hour or so it becomes a tool that saves a lot of labor and time.
