Conundrum
Free people are not equal. Equal people are not free. (Think this one over and over…makes sense!)

"A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again."

The definition of the word Conundrum is: something that is puzzling or confusing.
Here are six Conundrums of socialism in the United States of America:
1. America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.
2. Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.
3. They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.
4. Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.
5. The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.
6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about - yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

Think about it! And that, my friends, pretty much sums up the USA in the 21st Century. Makes you wonder who is doing the math.

These three, short sentences tell you a lot about the direction of our current government and cultural environment:
1. We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.
Funny how that works. And here's another one worth considering...
2. Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money. But we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money! What's interesting is the first group "worked for" their money, but the second didn't and apparently won't.
Think about it.....and Last but not least:
3. Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our military and cutting our army to a level lower than before WWII, but we are not stopping the payments or benefits to illegal aliens. In fact we are suggesting more to come to America??
Am I the only one missing something?

A lot of new taxes went into effect this year.
Here's a reminder for those who forgot or for the many that didn't know

Here is what just happened on January 1, 2015 :

Top Medicare tax went from 1.45% to 2.35%
Top Income tax bracket went from 35% to 39.6%
Top Income payroll tax went from 37.4% to 52.2%
Capital Gains tax went from 15% to 28%
Dividends tax went from 15% to 39.6%
Estate tax went from 0% to 55%
Remember this fact:
These taxes were all passed only with democrat votes, no republicans voted for these taxes.
These taxes were all passed under the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare.
If you think that it is important that everyone in the U.S. Should know this, pass it on.

Guns - what will happen once the 2nd amendment is done away with?
The United Nations, Obama, bought and paid for politicians - most all of them, are all hellbent
on getting guns out of the hands of the American people. I think we can all agree gun laws, no
matter how many are effected, will not stop the criminals from obtaining guns and using them
inappropriately. They will only restrict us citizens from being able to defend ourselves. I personally
detest guns but I would shoot a human to protect my family long before I would kill any animal with
one. Concealed carry makes a lot of sense to me. Here's a statistic you may want to digest.
Here is a list of gun deaths per 100,000 population in 109 countries who have effected gun laws that
take guns out of the hands of the public. Why is the US at the bottom of the list with the lowest
percentage of gun deaths? DUH! Because the citizenry is still armed, ya think?????

simply false flag events to further the agenda of gun removal from the citizenry) but fail to report all
the times an armed citizenry has saved themselves, their families, and others from harm, robbery

stories about how guns save lives and you get a whole different perspective about why we need to be
armed today.

this one is a little dated, being from 2010, but here goes:

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in delta airlines one year ago, you would have $49.00 Today
If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you would have $33.00 Today.

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in lehman brothers one year ago, you would have $0.00 Today.

But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for the recycling refund, you will have received $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink
heavily & recycle. It is called the 401-keg.

That's pretty horrific Darren, but what scares me more is that I am utterly unsurprised.

30 years ago that behavior would've been laughed out of the justice system because nobody would teach their kids that stuff. Today, children are just an extension of the parents and you get the kids of dubious parents doing exactly what their parents did. The good side is that good parents still tend to have good kids, so I guess we are just seeing an utter lack of good parents.

However, all of that goes to a complete collapse of morality and ethical foundations. I'll post up a different point to this that goes on what some of Lil Foot's conundrums bring up.

I'm speechless with anger. Mother & boyfriend need to be dealt with harshly, preferably with a large, dull brush chipper, feet first.

A simple course in logic would pretty much pinpoint all the failures in any nation, not just the United States, but lets use our 50 state + Federal system as an example.

Everyone keeps tinkering with the system, trying to add their own brand of 'whatever' to a system that really was working fine. It has been working so fine that the tinkerers haven't been able to destroy the system for over 200 years, and that's impressive.

However, they are finally breaking the system down. The lies, deceit and other levers of destruction are succeeding. There is hope though.

All of this can be undone in a dramatically short period if the People of World, led by the People of the US realize a few universal truths:

1. You cannot be a moral or ethical person if you do not pursue greatness beyond yourself. Call it God or a greater sense of self, humans do not succeed alone and we must pursue a morality beyond what our natural inclinations tell us to do.

2. Only through hard work is success accomplished. Nobody succeeds easy. Even if you inherit all the money in the world, what matters in life, that true sense of accomplishment, cannot be bought with money.

3. There are many ways to success. That is why the US government system allows for individual States to try different ways to accomplish the same thing. Now that the Federal Government is stifling that freedom, the county only has one path and that is horrible for the future of greatness. It is the same with us, if we don't listen/watch others and only follow one path, we are not likely to succeed either.

4. Get up and try again. You will likely fail many times trying to succeed, but the mark of a successful person isn't the first or even final success, it's how many times they had to pick themselves up after a failure and try again.

We've lost sight of just those basic truths, not just in the US but around the world. We keep listening to the voices that want to toss us all in the same bucket and treat everyone to the same 'result', calling that "fair". Well, fair is what we were born with: nothing. So the only "fair" thing in this world is that we can all try to achieve our own measure of betterment of self with the talents and challenges we were born with.

Life does not create victims, we do. Life just is. What you do with it success or victim, is exactly what your actions determine, or so all our grandparents told us. You know what, they were right.

Darren, it seems that you are damm lucky your wife caught him. It's awful how our family court system works, my best friend has gone through it. Men have zero rights when it comes to this even when they are a responsible parent and the mother is a POS. My friends little boy has been present for multiple SWAT team raids on drug houses where she would be with him. Was abused by one of her Boyfriends that left bruises on him that were visible when my buddy picked him up. He set him in his car seat, kicked the guys door down, gave the guy a beating like no other. Cops got called and were about to arrest my friend when he pointed out the bruises on his kid, they were kind enough to let him go . It still took thousands upon thousands of dollars for a good attorney to finally get custody. Absolutely insane how the system works. I hope all works out well for your friend and his child.

My view on any one, molesting, hurting, or killing a child, or an old person that cannot defend them selves.
A short drop and a sudden stop, and I don't care what color, religion, or sex they are.. And I will supply the rope, as long as it is done in the center of town for the world to see!!
