Can a 16hp B7100 drive a 6 rotor 1.3m (51 inch) power harrow?

The guy selling the power harrow thinks it should be fine, but he's running his on a 26hp machine, and there's quite a jump between 16 and 26hp!

I'm happy to do a couple of passes, and not expect to bury it 200mm deep in compacted pasture, BUT, I don't want to spend the money, only to discover that I can spin the rotors OR drive forward, but not both at once. Buying a bigger tractor to suit isn't really an option at this point.

You need to go to the power harrow's makers site and see what the power requirements are.

Just from what I know, I would say it's probably going to tax the HP too much!

If ,IF , the ground is already tilled up, then yes it'll work for you, just not fast. I ran a Ford LGT with 1M tiller on it over a 1 ac garden for decades. Less than 12HP( burned lots of oil). It more about 'technique' and not HP that matters.
I've got an A-C B-112 with 1M tiller and it's happy tilling all day as well.

If it is a used unit ask him to let you try it out.

I'm hearing it will probably work, but is likely too much for the tractor.

The manufacturer suggests 25-35hp, and the guy selling it says his 26hp tractor barely breaks a sweat running his one, so thinks it'd be fine.

It's much too far away to try out unfortunately (~18hrs drive each way)

Maybe I should look out for an old Gravely or something dedicated to do this task instead.

Thanks for the input.
