Hey guys, new to the forum and Kubota. I just put a block heater in and I am questioning if it is in all the way. It pounded in with no problems and is very solid at this time but there is a gap and wanted to double check to see if everything looks right.

The pics aren't great but it was the best I could do.

I really do not know the answer, but if it went in without issue and you feel you seated it well, AND if it is not leaking, my GUESS is you are OK.

Hopefully someone who really knows will respond.

Edit: Thinking more about it, if it is a tapered fit, as it needs to be if you pound it in to seat it, then you would NOT want the collar to touch the side of the opening. If it did it might inhibit the seal.

It isn't leaking yet since I haven't put the coolant in. The sleeve retainer I used said it takes 24 hours to cure, I think I could have gotten by with a few hours. I did watch a video on YouTube and his was seated about like mine so maybe I am okay.

You have it installed correctly, the outer diameter will not contact the block.
