this lawn tractor has clutch packs in the trans axle that are controlled by a cable in the front axle how har dis it to replace the clutch packs

The clutch pack is not for the front axle it's for the PTO.

What problem are you having?

the cables have to be adjusted properly, and I mean they've got to be SPOT-ON (little tolerance for error). If they are ok, you may end up going into the transmission, and if you do, I hope you have plenty of patience. I hate them. Weirdest transmission ever made and there are a lot of little tricks you need to know. Experience is the only way to know them unfortunately.

yeah there's a clutch pack for each side of the glide steer system. Really a stupid setup but when they work people seem to love them. I'm not one of them.
