Greetings, I have a Kubota L3000DT 4WD. It has been making a "clunking" noise in the right rear end. I have removed the axle down to the brakes.
-No obvious gear wear or pieces found.
-Everything looks good with bearings.
-The brakes measure within spec.
-The brake plate measures within spec.
-I see nothing obvious. I wish I would have to know what is wrong.
-The PTO Shaft moves with no problem or noises.
-Any tips or hints?
-Do I remove the other side to view that side?
-Do I put it back together and see if the noise is still there.

-Re-assembly
-Both housings had gaskets. One is metalic and the other was blue like a viton Material. They both had gasket maker material on them.
-I was going to replace both because the one came apart and the other was scored on removal. When I put new gasket maker (Permatex/1208 equivilant) on the joint. Do I put it on each side of the gasket and tighten to spec?

Thank You for your time and attention.....Jack
