Hello all, i recently picked up a second hand B1400.

Having always done my own maintenence on all my cars , bikes small engines etc i dropped all the fluids on this and changed filters. I do believe though that after decades worth of servicing all the engines i have this fuel filter takes the biscuit. Testament to the engine though that it sucks the fuel so strong it can pull it through that thing!

Sucked so hard it sucked it in.... You check the air filter and pre filter?

Yes, air filter also changed and housing emptied and oil filter changed. All fluids dropped and changed.
I am always suprised when getting hold of engines how filthy filters get with previous owners.

Another cracker i had recently was this fuel pump filter on a mini digger i borrowed to do some work at home with. It had little power so on checking the fuel run i found the problem!! i serviced it fully for the owner who can now ignore its needs for ages again!

I must admit i never lend tools out but if i borrow them i follow my fathers advice which is..'Always return it in better condition than you borrowed it'.

Seems fair to me.
