There is an aluminum plug on the side of the crank case of my L295 DT. It is about 3/8 inches in diameter. I think it is there as a safety feature in case of excessive pressure. It blew out a couple of months ago and I replaced it. Now it has blown out again. Rather than just pound another one in, I am thinking of tapping the hole and putting in a bolt. I live in Western Washington, where it seldom freezes, if that has any bearing.... Any opinions on whether this is a good idea or not?
