How do you chain down your tractor

Thanks for the replies. For the past 10 years my wife and I have traveled from the Eastern Slope of the Rockies to the Western Slope where we plan to retire. We have seen many accidents in that time some involving people like us pulling whatever, I'm sure that some of them were self inflicted...

How do you chain down your tractor

Could anyone post some pictures of good points on the tractor to tie to. I have a dump trailer with 4 D rings in the bed to tie it to. Do you use axle straps on the tractor to a chain binder then to a chain to the D rings. I want to do this right so bear with me. Thanks, CAE

    Turbo B7100

Thanks for the information, I have a mildly modded 2001 CTD dodge with a EGT gauge that I used to tune it. I had to do exactly what you said, I basically de-tuned it until I could floor it and keep the EGT's under 1300 deg F while towing. Where did you get your pyrometer for your Kubota?

    Turbo B7100

That's sweet, very nice job. I'd love to do that some day, I live at 7500' ft. elevation so my Kubota is lacking even more than most up at this altitude. I have a question for you, would you adjust the pump for my elevation? If so how much? Thanks, CAE

    Oil pressure problem w/ b6100

When I removed the sending unit it snapped off leaving the remainder in the hole, it had been overtightened and was streched, I used an easy out to get the broken part out of the block. I took what I had to work and put it on our optical comparator, it was close to 27 tpi. Stumpy is right about...

    Oil pressure problem w/ b6100

morson82, I just put an oil pressure gauge on my B7100 for the same reason, my light would flicker now and then. Like you my tractor was abused badly, to put it nicely I haven't found one thing that didn't need some TLC, I'm sure of more to come. Anyway I greased up a 1/8" npt pipe tap and ran...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I finished installing my oil pressure gauge, 35 psi @ idle 45 psi above idle, I'm happy with that, my Kubota has been rode hard and put away wet before I got it. My re-wiring repairs worked good, many of the old wires were melted together so I gutted it and used the search forums and wiring...

    B7100 Snowblowers

300zx, My B7100 is a 1983 with a rear pto only. Your restored B748 is beautiful, nice job! Do you know if there is a blueprint anywhere for the pto's, I read your post on how hard it was to find a good one. Since they are hard to come by (B748) I had thought about a self powered one and...

    B7100 Snowblowers

I have a few questions on snowblowers for my B7100. What do you use, front or rear mounted? What do they cost? Who sells them? Thanks, CAE

    fel fluid change

I just changed out my fluid on my FEL, it's the same as yours. You have to remove the filter at the bottom of the right tower to drain it, but that still leaves some left to suck out of the bottom. Here's the fun part what you find in the bottom of the tower is metal shavings with a grey looking...

    B7100HST Front Drive Shaft Boot/Pipe

After seeing KJINTF posts on his repair I took a look at my crossmember where the centerpin holds the front axle in place. I can move my front axle forward and backward on the centerpin between the gussets, how much play should I have? Thanks, CAE

    B7100HST Front Drive Shaft Boot/Pipe

Thanks for the responses, it does help alot. KJINF that was quiet a fix you made, I'll take a longer look at mine while I'm underneath. 300zx thanks for the order of disassembly, I need to find out what has to be replaced. Off topic a bit your post on you B748 was excellent, very nice job, one...

    B7100HST Front Drive Shaft Boot/Pipe

I was using the search forum and found this post, excellent by the way! When I found my bushing out of the pipe I took a look at the front driveshaft. The yoke on the transmission wobbles badly, I'm hoping that the shaft is O.K. since it is harder than the yoke. So it's time to pull it all...

    B-219 FEL oil change

This is my first post on this forum. I recently bought a 1983 B7100 with a B-219 FEL, it needs a little TLC. I have the manual for the B-219 FEL, it says to use 10W-30W in it or 10W-40W in warmer climates. My question is what do any of you use today, the information in the manual is 30 years...
