    To hydro or not

I'm sorry but Automatic's are a typical North-America thing (like mushy suspensions, v8s and full size pick-ups) "Foreigners" like Europeans and Asians are buying a $h!t load more manual cars than automatics as they also buy smaller engines that were a bit weak with an automatic. And the...

    To hydro or not

I have a B7200HST and I prefer HST over gears for my work. HST allow me to keep engine at top rpm to maintain PTO speed for the attachment (snowblower speed is critical on a low hp tractor) and it's also easier when you mow the lawn with a lot of back-and-forth around trees. so I like to be...

    Question about Oil

I would say whatever is approved by kubota for your engine is good to go; follow the recommanded type and weight then get the brand you want. your engine will not die early because you put some Castrol or walmart oil in it; it will die because something else will go wrong (like the water pump...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Today, I readjusted the throttle speed lever limiting nut on the pump. The B7200 wasn't able to go up in rpm to the governed rpm limit. Now it's on spec with the shop manual and it gave me quite a bit more performance from the snow blower !

    Winter Diesel Fuel vs Additives

I use whatever diesel fuel sold at the pump durng winter but add up to 15% gasoline for the 3 weeks we get -30C temps. it's a trick used in nordic trucks driving north of the arctic circle. then again, during summer (like now), I burn used hydraulic/ATF oil and mix with diesel fuel as it get...

    L275 alternative fuel?

this is about what I burn in mine this summer. I've been doing it in my VW TDI for a long time taking the injectors out once a year expecting to find something but never had any problem. anyway, there's a fuel filter right before the injection pump to stop any solid contamination.

    Pull/push start a diesel?

fuel quality shouldn't be an issue in Canada; mine will burn anything from kerozine down to melted margarine. check the glow plugs and jump them to the battery to make sure they glow. at +15 celcius, it should start with only 2 glow plugs ...glowing...

To those looking for 20.5x8-10 tires

On my B7200HST, I replaced the front 8" rims for 10" from ebay then got 6.00x10 AG tires. They are slightly oversized but I use my brain and never engage the front drive on pavement or when traction is not an issue. anyway, we shouldn't use our tractors in 4x4 all the time if not necessary

    Is Landpride 15-48 compatible?

I have a Patriot 48" in the back of my B7200 it's ok in most conditions and will slow down the hst when I get into a thick patch.

    Freedom of speech in Germany

what is outrageously censured in the US is the ACTA bill pushed by the movie/music industry and the puppet politicians they bought.

    Should I buy?

keep in mind your description make it like it's 1600 hours of short work on an engine never up to working temps. 6400 15 minutes jobs is a lot harder on a machine than 40 full weeks (40 hours) jobs

    Shuttle vs HST

on my HST, I set the engine/pto speed then I can set the tractor speed with something similar to cruise control. I don't need to press the go pedal all the time. You can even change the tractor speed with the cruise control lever. what I like of the HST is the ability to change tractor speed...
