dug out a little pond with the LT185DT

Great job! The old L185DT never ceased to amaze me with what it could do.

Implement/Attachment you wish you had sooner

I surely agree on both Hodge's stabilizer bars, and the pine straw rake! If you have pine needles, the rake gets about 99+% of them in a single pass. Also great for stirring up the gravel on the driveway before winter freezes it.

L3901 vibration when FEL is loaded

I have the L3200 with R1s - basically the same tractor but with gears. With an empty bucket, the FEL represents about 2200lbs on the front axle. Filling the bucket with dirt adds on that significantly - about double the weight of the load. I feel the vibration at high speeds, although with...

    l3010 wheel wights

I have an L3200 with filled rears (250 lbs/tire) plus 130 lbs/side in wheel weights. With the FEL bucket empty, I am light in the rear - in 2WD it will slide down a 20 deg slope, and spin its wheels going up it. So I try to keep at least a 300 lb implement on the rear. If I'm doing loader...

    L3301/l3901 width

The loader bucket width is 66" on my L3200, so that is a pretty good width to shoot for. It'll fit fine in your 72" trailer. I put 2-1/2" spacers on the rear end, using R4s. It is interesting that you have to use SOMETHING with the R4s if you plan on tire chains for snow - the stock width is...

    Dual Wheels???

I put dual rear's on my old L185DT. Traction was awesome, and there was never a problem with the drop axles. I had to build my own spacer hubs for it. I've posted pictures on my home page. Tire size was 9.5/9-24. I haven't felt the need for additional traction with the L3200DT, with...

    Bucket sizing

You can get a decent price from Bingham, on EBAY. The pin-on bucket is a 60" for that tractor, the QA is a 66". Generally you want the bucket to be as wide or a bit wider than the tractor wheel width. Unless you are really spread out wide, either bucket should work. The pin-on is a bit more...

    Kubota L3901 HST - Rotary Cutter/Bush Hog

I wouldn't worry at all with that tractor and a 72" mower. The nice thing about HST is you can slow down just a bit if the tractor bogs down, which it probably won't.

    Grill Guard for L2600DT

You may want to measure from the hinge pivot of the hood up by the gas tank, down to the front lip of the hood, and to the bolt holes of the guard mounting plate. Compare those to the same dimensions on an L3200/3800 and the dimensions of an L3301/3901. I'd think one of them should fit.

    Rough cut mower questions

I'd rather ask "How tuff is a finish mower?? Pretty darn tuff, and you get a nice lawn where you want it. I'd never use my brush hog on the lawn. It would be a mess.

I have that NEW tractor smell

Welcome to OTT! Great tractor! I for one love gears and R1's. Now the real fun starts - getting something heavy and handy for the rear end to counter the loader up front. Most of us like 600-1000 lbs in the back if we are doing anything serious with the FEL...

    60" KK Tiller for B2920?

Probably depends on your soil. I use an old 40" Howard Rotovator behind my L3200DT. In some places it is all the tractor can do to keep it turning in low gear! Another 20" would be too much in those places. I'd be thinking about 48" or maybe 54"

    What's best for grading driveway

I'd really consider a "B". Traction is a function of weight and tire size - and the B has both. And you have an uneven 15 acres, and an 800' drive to maintain. You will soon be wishing your BX had bigger tires and more weight... Just MHO. I put a tail wheel on my rear blade - the blade is...

    Disc harrow weight

Cement blocks are the most common. You can use rocks, bags of sand, scrap iron - anything heavy you can tie on to it.

Correct implement for leveling an old fence line mound

It sounds like you can do it all with the loader and grading scraper. And for the 1000' driveway, the scraper is the way to go! Enjoy that tractor - its a nice one.

    3pt hitch lifting capacity

A top-link won't help. The cylinder appears to be an owner add-on to stop the backhoe from lifting every time you try to dig down. Initially Kubota used a heavy bar across the 3ph lift arms, bolted to the bottom of the K/L650 frame to prevent this action. All it accomplished was to bend the...
