Best quality pins and cotter / lynch pins?

Any thoughts as to the best quality pins and cotter / lynch pins for hooking my box blade or landscape rake or brush cutter to my L3901? I've had a few cotter or lynch pins fail and come close to having pins slide out as a result.

L3901 - lower links with built-in quick attach?

I've tried the Pat's - not thrilled. I know that with a lot of larger tractors, the lower links have quick attaches built in. Why not for compact tractors? Has anyone seen such a thing?

20 year old, Agri-Ease haybob - no shear pin or clutch?

This will be my second year haying. The first time around I was a total beginner. This year, I've catapulted up to not-quite total beginner :) Last year I didn't even know to think about shear pins or slip clutches. Now that I have a few different PTO devices, shear pins and such are on my...

    L3901 and LA526 - zerk details ?

Anyone know the spec details for the zerks for the L3901 and LA526 loader? Like thread size, thread type and so on? thanks

    L3901 tie-rod, possible over-greasing question

As I understand it, I should add grease to all the grease points on the FEL until I see grease seeping out the sides, correct? But how about the tie rods? I'm worried that I might have tried to jam too much grease into one of the tie rod ends - I guess those grease points don't seep? If that's...

    standard hydraulic hose diameters?

I have rear hydraulics for my 3901. I have hoses that run from a plate on the tractor to top and tilt cylinders. I know the fittings at the "wide end" of these hoses are 1/2" male / 1/2" female. The hose fittings are a bit narrower on the end that attaches to the cylinders. Are there standard...

Shovel holders, coat racks, and so on, on my tractor?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum. I'd like to be able to hold a shovel and a jacket (at least) on my 3901. Does anyone have any recommendations for holders like this for sale? I could swear I've seen vertical tubes attached somehow to the tractor that you just put your shovel into?

Boxblade: Got the "pitch" and the "roll", how about a little "yaw" ?

Has anyone seen or implemented any hacks to get a small amount of "yaw" in their boxblade setup? In other words, a setup in which one end of the boxblade is a few inches forward of the other end? I'm doing some grading / pothole repairs on a loooong driveway, and I'd like to be able to push...

L3901, top and tilt, and QH-15: trying to configure the hoses, still.. argh!

I'm really struggling to configure / align the TnT hoses in such a way that the QH-15 doesn't run into them as I raise and lower the 3-point, and as I use the TnT. (I've tried several different approaches using 90 degree and 135 degree fittings and various length hoses.) A few assumptions I'm...

Configuring hoses for an L3901, two sets of rear hydraulics, and a QH15

When I bought my new 3901 last summer I asked the dealer to add two sets of rear hydraulics and I also bought a QH-10. Well, the QH-10 wasn't in stock. A few months later they got QH-15's in stock so I got one of those. Now it turns out that the rear hoses and the QH-15 conflict with each other...

    QH15 vs. PTO, argh

A few days back I attached my RCR1860 for the first time. The PTO connection was a beast, mostly because the QH15 was constantly in the way. I'm thinking that a quick hitch with a rounder shape, like the QH05, would be easier to work around. But it seems like the QH05 probably isn't beefy enough...

Poor man's shallow ditch witch using a 24" shank on a boxblade?

I've got quite a few 6" deep or so, 2" wide or so, 10 to 16 feet long ditches to dig. I was thinking of getting one 24" shank and putting it on my box blade. thoughts?

L3901 - PTO disengage, needs adjustment?

When I try to disengage the PTO I have to wiggle the little yellow lever this way and that for a while before the PTO disengages. I loosened/ lenghtened the cable a bit (maybe a 1/4"), underneath the tractor, didn't help. any suggestions? thanks

Pushing rear attachments, specifically a landscape rake?

From what I've observed and seen in online videos, it's common practice to push some rear attachments like box blades and brush hogs. So far so good? How about pushing a landscape rake, any concerns? Any general guidelines when pushing rear attachments? Any things to watch out for?

Tips for drilling through steel plates?

Until I get a LOT better at welding, it seems like I can kludge together a lot of useful stuff, if I can drill holes (from 1/4" to maybe 3/4") in steel plates (up to maybe 3/8" thick). So far so good? I have a Dewalt DCH133 rotary hammer drill that so far I've used only to drill holes in...

    Landscape rakes as de-rock-ifiers?

We're in the early stages of building a couple miles of horse riding trails on our farm. Our soil is rocky, and we keep our horses barefoot. (If anyone wants to debate barefoot vs. shod, that's for a different thread ;) ) We don't need a perfect de-rock-ification solution. It's hard to describe...

Pat's QH and extending the top link holder(s)

I did some searching on the site and found a few threads that seemed to be close to my question, but nothing spot on. So sorry in advance if this question has already been answered. I ordered the Pat's QH, and I'm looking forward to using it. I do think that one way or another, I will want to...

Widening a too narrow 3 point implement

I've got a mini round baler, about 1200 pounds. It's bottom links are too close together to use my QH15. So I want to figure out how to make the bottom links wider. I was thinking getting longer pins, but that might put a lot of torque on the pins? Then I was thinking of getting a good welder to...
