Hi, Are you running a stump planer on the sa20 and a BX? Planer Diameter? Rpm? It has enough torque? I'm curious as I have a low flow (no name) auger on my LX2610 and am wondering if a 10" planer would be effective for homeowner/occasional usage. Any specifics would be helpful and appreciated!

So...after a LOT of chasing and patience...another local dealer took the tractor in for a week and went over all adjustments, gearbox, pto shaft for the deck. They "lubed the $h@t" out of everything to quote the service manager. They said the noise is coming from the PTO shaft...with "95%...

Has anybody given a listen to the two audio files? Wondering what y'all think. Thanks in advance!

Yes, they say they have...and I have work order copies from both visits the tractor made to the the dealership during diagnosis. Again, there answer is basically, it's under warranty. Waiting to see what/if Kubota responds.

Here is the deck engaged and lifted up about 1/2 way. This sounds like it should while mowing.

Here ....I hope...is an an audio file of the noise when the deck is is the down position (anytime it's in the lower half of the lift range). I'll try and post one with it running in the upper half too.

Have a listen...if this video loads prope I'm trying to post a 1 second compressed zip video file (about 8mb)...and says file is too large. Any ideas?

Yes, I agree. The problem is they do not have others currently in stock to try. I asked about that and at least swapping out the PTO shaft but they don't have a spare of those either. The dealer is willing to help, but I thought I'd try to gather some insight here as well...which I am and am...

So...this is a deck with all of FIVE...5....hours on it. Can any of those adjustments/etc really make the difference? I'm sooo frustrated with this deck. The noise clearly comes from above the deck...gearbox/pto shaft area.

Thanks for checking. I'm going to ask the dealer to replace the PTO shaft as a start...then the gearbox if that doesn't do it

Thanks, I'd appreciate knowing if you hear anything. The easiest way for me to replicate it is the have the mower fully raised, engage blades, adjust rpm to about 2500, then slowly drop the deck. The noises kick in about half way down and then continue until raised again.

Do you have any noises coming from the 60" MMM (if you have one) when lowered down past half height?

Any other LX2610 users with insight on my noise issues?

Certainly agree on the time factor/issues raised. As a previou BX1880 owner with a 60" MMM...I never had any issues with power. Even mowing thick, damp, 8" high grass when necessary in the spring. You simply keep the rpm up and slow down if you feel/hear it bogging down. Cut was always smooth...

Forward and reverse have been fine...very similar to my BX before. FEL movement is quite different but I've gotten used to it after putting in a new driveway so I think for me, at least, it was just getting used to this particular loader/valve/joystick being much longer "throw" than on my BX.

I had not thought about the length of the PTO splines to see if there is enough "overlap" when extended/deck fully dropped...I'll have to look. Agreed on the distance of the MMM from the rear tires...the deck gets covered with anything and everything that the rear tires pick up with the least...

Yes, me, dealer, and an experienced mechanic friend of mine. No slop or play in the uni joints, greased, etc. Still no resolution.
