    Informal Skeet Shoot.

Going to have a couple of Old Friends over this weekend to visit and shoot a little informal skeet (as out in the pasture...with a thrower). Should be fun. Weather is nice (here) this time of year. Pretty sure I've got enough Clay Birds. ;) But I checked my ammo lockers....and found them a...

My Dentist of 30 years sent me a letter.........

Pretty much out the Blue. Said he was closing his practice here (Deep East Texas) and moving himself and wife to Montana. I have to wonder if that was a well thought out decision? Pretty sure once he experiences a Montana 'Winter' he might have second thoughts. In recent years a number of...

    Block Heater L2350 question

Perhaps it is self evident....I don't know. I have ordered a Block Heater for my Kubota L2350DT. I can start it in cold weather (sub 30°F temps) but it takes a few minutes of running the glow plugs and cranking the engine. Engine will fire, quickly die, repeat....until it finally warms up...

    Help I.D. hydraulic connector please.

I am wanting to purchase a ready made pressure gauge to check my hydraulic pressure and have found one with a handy hose extension. However....I am not sure what size/type the connectors are on my tractor (1996 Kubota L2350DT). Does anyone know what they are? I know I will need to order the...

    Avert your eyes..............

All those squeamish to things not the color 'Orange'. ;) My poor old 4' Box Blade was looking kind of sad after many years of hard use. So I decided to sand blast it, check all the welds and then hit it with a coat of new paint.

Adding Hay 'Spear' to Hay 'Fork'........

I don't use the Hay Fork on my compact tractor that much (for moving hay bales). Normally use my larger tractor with front mounted hay spear. But on occasion I will move a bale to an area up a fairly steep hill and the smaller tractor goes up that narrow 'trail' easier. Anyway....about a...

    Haha...............CATS!

They can be so indignant. I had parked my Land Cruiser down by one of the storage buildings where I was going to rinse it off. Cat jumps up on the roof and is sitting there staring at me. I told her to get down and waved my hand at her. What does she do? Lays down and gives me that 'I'll get...

    Poor little Babies

Don't have anything to play with. I should be horse whipped. Guess I'll take them swimming to make up for it.

    Pulling T-Posts

I'm not a person too much attracted to 'gadgets' but I've got a bunch of T-Posts I need to pull (by myself). Normally (with help) I just use a chain, throw a couple of half hitches on the post and lift it out with the front loader. But I've been looking at these T-Post pulling 'Plates' that...

Gents....give me some guidance/opinions/experience here please.

It is time for new rear tires on my L2350DT. But I have a few questions first...perhaps the members here can help me with. A little background info on the tractor and its usage. Its a compact tractor (25 hp), 4wd, gets no more than 50-60 hrs use a year (at most). Tractor is 27 years old...

    Front Recovery Points

I wanted to add some 'recovery points' to the front of my tractor since Kubota offered nothing (front or rear). In the rear....its a simple matter of rigging something on a tow bar or just adding a shackle/other to the that spot. I already have a twisted shackle in the rear, so nothing more...

'Fess Up'......mistakes you've made or close calls.......

When operating a tractor, there are all kinds of ways we can get ourselves into trouble. I thought it might good to share some of our experiences. Obviously, we all have different uses for our tractors, tractor size and implements employed, so I would expect a wide range of replies. But with...

Removing LB400 FEL from Kubota L2350DT.....a how to.

I've never had the occasion to need to do this (remove FEL)... but when I first purchased the tractor I was unable to find any step by step instructions explaining the procedure. I found an operators manual for the FEL with that information and thought I'd post it here for posterity's sake...

    What is this........?

Have never known what this is. Looks factory installed to me. It's only function (that I can tell) is to prevent me from curling or dumping the bucket when in the down position. I can still lift or lower the FEL arms.

    Hydraulic Guru's......question for you please.

I have a L2350DT with a front loader. I would love to have a small front mounted Hydraulic winch for my tractor. Something along these lines...

    LB400 FEL cylinder leak..........

Hmmmm...... Looks like I have myself a cylinder leak. Might as well rebuild all four of them. Placed an order with Messick's yesterday for all four seal kits. The lady I spoke with was very knowledgeable and helpful. If the new seals hold up as long as the old ones (27 Years) I'll be long...

    Fuel Line I.D. (inner diameter)

I am going to purchase some fuel line and also add a shutoff valve on my L2350 Kubota. Anyone happen to know the I.D. of the fuel line or size of the barb fittings. Metric I imagine but I can find the nearest fractional size. Just don't want to remove what I have now until I'm ready to replace...
