Chains for front wheels on 4WD BX 2350 ?

I have never had tire damage from chains, tractor or truck, but even on a truck it's for slow speed use in my case. They do need to be properly fitting and kept snug. On pavement, spin a tire on ice and you will scare the road or driveway.

Chains for front wheels on 4WD BX 2350 ?

As has been said in previous posts. Kubota and many/most manufacturers advise against front chains. If you look at the size difference between front and rear axles, it's easy to see why. That said, I have always run all four. In many situations it's essential for stearing and control. Make your...

    Stuck on a tree stump

Yeah, need to know if he couldn't move because he was stuck/high centered, Or couldn't move because the machine wasn't getting power to the wheels?

Is there a Holy Grail of used compact tractors?

I can agree with that. 1987 JD 750. Thousands of hours of trouble free use. Most Kubotas will do the same.

    Trailer Size?

With my l4600, I would not be able to transport the tractor with cutter attached on my 20 footer. 24-26'? Unattached, maybe on a 20'.

    L3902 vs L4802 in 2023

That close in price, unless you need the smaller footprint, I'd go for wider stance, more hp, and higher loader capacity. Both I'm sure are good machines.

    L4701HST Radiator Replacement Options

Back when radiators where made of copper and brass repair shops where fairly common. I still have one about a half hour away. He now caters to older equipment. I'm sure any shop like that could repair, rebuild or make a new one. I don't know if it would be less expensive?

    Moving Boulders

What you have is an improvised "stone boat". I grew up using stone boats made in the 1800's to move heavy borders around the property.

    Water drum on 3-point

I don't have the 3pt specs on a b4200, but it can't be much. 220 lts. is 58 gallons, 558 pounds, 208 kg. Check yours specs. If the 3pt. can handle that much weight plus whatever mount you make, go for it. If not get a smaller container.

    15-40 oil in cold weather

15-40 is aexcellent I've used nothing but down to -30 without issue. When it's cold, plug it in!

    Tire chain question.

I think it depends on your conditions. Studs sound interesting and I may try them. In extreme conditions I can't see them replacing chains. On my plow truck my studded snows stay chained up front and rear all winter.

    Straps or Chains for trailering?

My reasons are simple. I have them. If I'm working with the tractor, more times than not I'm using chain. I'm not a farmer, and only use pto attachments a couple times a year. If you have attachment points, no worry of scrathing. I'm sure properly rated straps would work just as well if kept...

    Cold Starts

As first step if you haven't already, check your manual to verify starting procedure. Verify there is no moisture in the fuel. While summer fuel will not gel at the temperatures you described, any water in the fuel can plug the fuel filter. If that's not the issue check your getting power to the...

    Cold Starts

Summer blend fuel is fine down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit at which point it gels. A good diesel rated oil (CK-4 is the current rating) meeting your tractors specs, likely 10w-30 or 15w-40 is fine. I would check your glow plugs. 20-30 degrees should be easy to start.

    B 2601 front tire chains

I'm not sure what Kubota recommends for yor particular tractor, but most smaller machines do not recommend front chains. Having said that I've always run them. My general practice is to run in 2 wheel drive, using the front chains for steering and carefully engaging only when needed. You'll have...
