I also have a L175 Make sure to drain all the fluid. There are three drain plugs and a filter screen . One plug is about center of tractor and the other two are one each side of the deferential. I used universal tractor fluid in mine with no issues . About 6 gallons is what mine took .

Would anyone know what the hp rating is @ the pto for a L175. All I can find is the rating for the engine . thanks Mike W

I plan to build a loader attachment for my L175. My question is. Can I utilize the hydraulic pump that operates the 3pt lift ? Or should I ad a stand alone pump to the front of the engine? thanks Mike W

I bought this tractor a few months back from a guy up north. It was a good deal so o was willing to live with the blow by. After putting 50 hours on it . It crapped the bed last weekend. Luckily the cylinder walls after honing was still round and still in specs. So hoping to get another 1700...

Turns out I had cracked rings and a busted piston. Just finished a fresh rebuild and runs like new .

Thanks for the information. All I do with this tractor is pull a finish mower cutting about 10 acres. So grass is tender and green . The throttle setting of 50%-75% should do fine .

I am putting new pistons and rings in my Z750a Kubota engine. What would you guys recommend for a break in period? I am a gas engine guy. Not very familiar with small Diesel engines Thanks in advance

Where I reside there is only one machine shop within 200 miles. They want $800 to install and fit the sleeves . And the I would need to strip block bare. I think I’ll give the honing a shot. What could go wrong right ??

Welders and cutting torches do amazing things

At low rpm’s and light work load I get hardly any blow by. Heavy loads high rpm’s. Lots of blow by and oil dripping out the the crank vent tube. Engine starts with no issues. Plenty of power for 17hp. What would the majority say is the cause ? Worn pistons or in the head ?

Where and what brand loader did you find ? I’m looking for one for my L175 too. Mike

On my tractor . The tach only gives a 540 pto speed. Was just curious. I’m new to the small tractor life. I’ve spent years on 100+ h/p tractors and earthmoving equipment. This 17 hp tractor is teaching Patients.
