Advice choosing between several different models…

All models are HST with loaders and ROPS Big/tall operator 6’6”/350lbs L4701, MX4800, MX5200. Are they all pretty much the same machine, just with minor PTO differences? Using the tractor to farm 10 acres, maintain a 1/3 mile swampy road, and clear several acres for hobby farm.

    L4701 + Loader question

Eow Wow! That’s an awesome answer! I appreciate all that you did for me. I was attempting to determine whether or not it was feasible to fit in my garage, or whether a carport outside made more sense! Your findings helped considerably. Thank you for that!

    Tractor for swampy forest

First time tractor owner planning to purchase an MX5400HST. One of the primary uses planned for it, is to aide in harvesting trees, brush hogging overgrowth, and building a footpath in a wetland forest. The land is mainly mushy soil, not standing water mind you. Without an expensive trial...

    First Kubota for big guy!

Called the local dealer. Got descent quotes on both the L4701HST and the MX5400HST. Both ROPS only. Both with loaders. Then he states that don’t have either in stock and states perhaps by spring. 😳

    First Kubota for big guy!

My only concern with the MX5400 was the weight. The land we’ll be clearing/cleaning is primarily wetland.

    First Kubota for big guy!

Are there limits to lighting you can put on these tractors? Or is simply about having enough supplemental batteries for the extra lights? Not looking to overtax the tractor’s electrical system, but if the Kubota light kids are anything like those for riding lawn mowers, I fear they will be...

    First Kubota for big guy!

I appreciate all the advice. Planning to look at both the L4701HST and the MX5400HST. To the comment about the “grapple.” YES, the thought had likewise crossed my mind as well. Although I didn’t see one offered by LandPride, only Atlas. For either of these larger machines, are front facing...
