How do I create a level grade with a landscape rake (LR1684) & gauge wheels?

I do have a heavy rear multi-angle blade - maybe I will swap that out to try to do some angled blade leveling/grading. I have been pulling the rake square/perpendicular to the tractor thus far. Thank you all for the help.

How do I create a level grade with a landscape rake (LR1684) & gauge wheels?

Hi all, I've had an LR1684 for two years now and have been working to level out my beach - I recently hauled in 50 yards of clean sand and added a set of gauge wheels to the landscape rake with the idea being it would provide an equal depth of cut without following the contours of the land...

How do I disconnect these hydraulic lines?

Update: There's a small o-ring inside the female quick coupler that must have fallen out - found it on my garage floor. This appears to have solved the problem. Have some spares on the way. I am thinking about buying a set of open ended wrenches large enough to handle these couplers and other...

How do I disconnect these hydraulic lines?

Sounds good, looks like the following if I'm understanding the parts diagram correctly: COUPLER, HNV38NP Part # 7J417-66320

How do I disconnect these hydraulic lines?

I have no idea, I was going to replace the coupler. When I quick-disconnect from the male nipple and visually inspect nothing seems obvious. You can see in the picture one of the leak points is hydraulic fluid coming out of the top of the slide lock ring. I do not know if that's the entirety of...

How do I disconnect these hydraulic lines?

The blue hydraulic line on my loader's female quick connect coupler is leaking. I have tried several times: disconnect blue and red lines, run tractor, no leak from blue male nipple on tractor side. Reconnect blue and red lines, run tractor, confirm leak coming from blue female on loader hose...

How do I disconnect these hydraulic lines?

Here's a picture of the coupling - what are the appropriate wrench points and directions on this one? I found this to be more confusing, which is why I was going to take the approach with removing the entire soft line from the hard line. Thank you.

How do I disconnect these hydraulic lines?

Sorry GrizBota - nothing that exciting - the female quick connect coupler on one of the soft lines is leaking and I want to bring the hose into a shop rather than the whole tractor. I am hoping this is a reasonable approach?

How do I disconnect these hydraulic lines?

Embarrassing question and I really don't want to break these hard lines on the loader - I overlayed three different colored lines on each of what I believe are wrench points at the connection from soft to hard lines. My questions: Which line (purple, green, yellow) is the hold spot, and which...

Price aside, what are the use cases for double acting rear remotes vs float remotes?

Do the double acting valves lock in either direction, or do they always spring return to center?

Price aside, what are the use cases for double acting rear remotes vs float remotes?

Interesting, I thought the float detent was required for 3-point splitters, to ensure continual flow of the hydraulic fluid?

Price aside, what are the use cases for double acting rear remotes vs float remotes?

I’m probably not asking this question in the right way because I still don’t understand. What types of implements and utilizations of the implements would benefit from a double acting valve more/better than a float detent valve?

Price aside, what are the use cases for double acting rear remotes vs float remotes?

Float detent remotes can hold cylinders in a fixed position when not in float mode though? Unless I’m not understanding what you’re saying.

Price aside, what are the use cases for double acting rear remotes vs float remotes?

I only have float remotes. Price aside, what are the use cases where you’d want a double acting rear remote over a float rear remote? thank you.

My first tractor - Need guidance

Hello Compare it with the MSRP on the builder on the website - you’ll have to come up with your own price on the trailer. Are you sure you’re buying enough tractor for the type of work you’re planning? I’m not suggesting you’re not, it’s a good question to ask yourself before you sign.

Kubota blower L4479 drive chain replacement

Not sure if I bought a cheap chain puller but it was basically useless. Instead I temporarily removed the idler sprocket to make the chain connection. Back in business. Thanks all.

Kubota blower L4479 drive chain replacement

it's still weird to me that Kubota parts call it '60X - 60HDx78' when it's #60 chain (and not #60H)

Kubota blower L4479 drive chain replacement

Thanks all - if this next kubota chain breaks I’ll go the tractor supply route with #60H. I ordered a roller chain puller as well. Dusty my kubota chain was not an o ring chain - must be different on the L4479.

Kubota blower L4479 drive chain replacement

Thank you - I was planning on loosening the idler sprocket while attaching the master link, will that not provide enough slack? That makes sense to upgrade to a 60H, it’s not like the chain is designed to break as a fail-safe to protect the sprockets, that’s what the shear pin on the drive shaft...

Kubota blower L4479 drive chain replacement

Hello, I exploded a drive chain on my L4479 and have another one on order. I considered building my own replacement as the materials to do so appear to be available at tractor supply. When I brought a piece of my broken chain to the store to ensure I was buying the right materials, it looked to...
