How to properly size a culvert for Drainage ditch..?

Had a similar situation, potential place on my woods road to get stuck only in a ravine that drains 10-12 acres. Local hardware store had a sale on the 10" x 20' poly culvert pipe couple years back, $120 out the door. Cut it in 1/2 at the store with a sawzall for easy transport and ended up...

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

This ice overhang reached out 5' before it started calving. A combination of rain on several snowstorms created it. Caught it about an hour before it all fell.

    L3300 oil change

I went through this same thing couple yrs ago when my L3300 came home. Sounds like the same dipstick and it is 2 inches between the lines but its in the crankcase at a shallow angle . I put 4 qts in and that put it in the middle of the lines. Added another 1/2-3/4 qt. and that brought it up to...

    Ridiculous Temperatures and Wind Chills

Anyone else in the north/northeast experience the frost quakes being reported mostly Friday night ? We had what sounded like something smashed into the house roof area Friday night. A sudden loud bang . It got our attention. "A cryoseism, ice quake or frost quake, is a seismic event caused by...

    L2850 FEL park stands missing

Mine just has a length of 1 1/2" tubular steel in front of the steering wheel attached to the loader side frame. No kickstands to be found. Probably won't be taking the loader off anytime soon anyway, if at all. Nice to know what I will need though.

    L2850 FEL park stands missing

Yes thanks for the great pictures and directions. Flintknapper. My used LA 480 Loader on a L3300 came with the standoffs attatched to the loader arm and as much as i tried could not figure out where or how to attach them just in case I wanted to remove the loader someday. Now i know I am...

    Snow removal

For the B2601 a blower in the 50" width range would be about right for the width of tractor and HP.

    Snow removal

Went from 30 yrs of plowing a 400' drive to a 3pt 60" snowblower and going into the 2nd winter with it. Big improvement in my opinion and an economical choice too. Move the snow once and you're done with it, no more pushing back snowbanks. Takes a little getting use to going backwards but...

    Snow removal

For a front mounted blade it depends on how wide a blade you want to put on it and how deep or wet the snow you might have in your area From my many years experience with a front mounted 6.5' fixed angle blade on a 3,000 ib tractor it did well until the snow got too deep or was especially wet...

    3 PT snowblower setup.

Yes lift rods is what i was referring to. Saw them called adjustable side link bars somewhere. And the L series rods have 3 holes. Appreciate the feedback and the nice descriptions on setup options. So I'll have a little less total lift height on the blower using the btm holes like you do but...

    3 PT snowblower setup.

Curious how most of you set their 3 PT Adjustable Side Link bars on their tractors for snowblowers. Fairly new at this going into the 2nd winter and never adjusted the side links which are currently using the center hole but think I need to move the pins to the bottom holes of the side links to...

    1st Real Snow

It was a tough storm . There were places in my 400' driveway where the 500lb.+ snowblower wanted to ride up over some of it by 5-6". Had to go back over it with the bucket to get it removed.

    1st Real Snow

On the opposite end of the continent but we just got walloped with 19" of heavy snow in the last 24hrs. It was the 1st snowstorm of the season to speak of, power went down for 7hrs so not too bad. Will be putting the snowblower on tomorrow now that I can get the snowmobile out of the way...

    Snow Removal

I would think it depends on how much snow falls in your area on a typical winter. A few feet of snow over the winter a blade or just the bucket would work good enough probably. 8-15 feet of snow like we sometimes see a snowblower works well in that you only have to move it once, no pushing it...

Snowblower on Gravel - Skid shoe question

I had pre- drilled holes so all I did was add these which worked well for my 500lb+ 5' blower. Cheap @ $50 -$ 75pr. but effective. There are many to choose from , different hole patterns. When the ground is soft I just keep the blower up 1" or so enough to keep it from tearing things up. Good...

    Need L2800 rear snowblower info

Running a 5' Agro Trend on a L3300 . Its a good fit but a 64" would have been slightly better given the 64" rear width with 12.4x24 AG tires. Price was right though at 2K for a slightly used blower so not complaining.
