    Hydro pedal swap?

I think I agree. I currently have the DT 2501, but with the constant back and forth of some of the loader work I have been doing, I thought the hydro would make more sense. It’s unfortunate how mammoth the price leap is up to the Grand L machines, but something tells me they are worth every penny.

    Hydro pedal swap?

Has anyone heard of swapping the much nicer hydro pedal from the Grand L to any other series of Kubota tractor? I ask because I wear a size 16 shoe, and the standard hydro pedal takes up far too much room on the platform, and doesn’t allow for me to slide my foot back far enough to transition...

    High range question

That's really good feedback. Thank you. Just today I dressed my 1000 foot gravel driveway with my box blade and used High range 1st as opposed to Low range 4th. It did just dandy. To echo your comments on reverse though, I did notice that it made it very annoying when turning around at the end...

Can a L2501 Lift a 1200lb large bale 6 inches off of the ground.

I certainly won't preach that he not try it with the loader, especially if he is lifting so close to the ground, just to do so very carefully until he finds out the limits of both he and the tractor. If you guys haven't seen it, NetMagi did a very interesting test and posted his results here and...

    High range question

Thanks for the feedback. I think it's a slightly different animal with a geared 2501 as it's the only transmission like it in the lineup, with 8 forward and only 4 reverse. Like I said, it's not a huge deal, she still gets the job done.

Can a L2501 Lift a 1200lb large bale 6 inches off of the ground.

At 1500 mm high, and 500 mm out from pivot, the capacity is 1135

Can a L2501 Lift a 1200lb large bale 6 inches off of the ground.

I meant 1500 mm, or a carrying height of 59 inches

    High range question

I have an L2501 DT. I find myself really only using low range for everything. It has been working just fine this way, but after watching some videos of folks using their gear drive tractors of similar size and power, I find myself wondering if I am selling myself short by never using high range...

Can a L2501 Lift a 1200lb large bale 6 inches off of the ground.

I have a 2501 DT. In the manual for the LA525, it states that lift capacity at 500 mm, or roughly 60 inches is 1130 lbs 500 mm out from the pivot point. So as stated earlier, it CAN do it, but I’m betting it probably shouldn’t. Either way, good luck and be safe.

    Saving my clutch?

Thank you guys for the replies. I have figured out already that for just about everything I’m asking my tractor to do that low 3 or low 4 seems to be the order of the day. Also, I only clutch when I’m about to break traction or shuttling in reverse. This makes me feel better that I should expect...

    Saving my clutch?

I am looking for a touch of advice about how best to extend the life of the clutch in my L2501. I feel very comfortable operating a stick, I’m just wondering if there are any obvious things to avoid that are unique to clutching a tractor versus a truck. Also, does anyone have any idea what the...

Fun is something I will definitely be having. This is the result of nearly three years of saving and well over 30 years of wishing. I appreciate the feedback.

    Brand new owner. Ballast?

Thank you guys for the feedback. I am hoping that between the BB that weighs about 350lbs and the loaded tires that it should stay planted pretty well. My concern is that when I drop the BB that I may need a ballast box or something. Are any of you fine folks owners of a 2501?

    Brand new owner. Ballast?

Hello all. I have just made my first tractor purchase and I will be getting my brand new L2501 DT delivered next Friday. My dealer is loading the rear tires for me and I have a Land Pride BB1260 box blade. My question is, how much additional ballast do I need for loader work, if any? Thanks in...
