Power Steering Add on for the B8200, Part 2(picture heavy)

I'm pretty sure one is high pressure and the other is low pressure. I do not know what one that would be though, sorry.

Power Steering Add on for the B8200, Part 2(picture heavy)

Sorry for the delayed reply Jimy, been out of town. Tractor power steering was the company I bought the kit from. They would be the ones to talk to about ordering just the blocks. I actually didn't machine them. They came pre-fabbed. The first set I had didn't have a plug installed in the...

Power Steering Add on for the B8200, Part 2(picture heavy)

For the life of me I cannot remember the name of that hydraulic block. The little transfer blocks are custom made from the company I bought the kit from. I would imagine you could contact them to see if just those blocks are available. I do not know if you could buy them elsewhere. Yes they...

    Hydraulic oil in engine

I'm not familiar with the specs on your tractor, however my B8200 had a seal go bad in the front of the hydraulic pump. This allows the higher pressure oil to enter the crank case. The first time it happened, I just replaced the seal, that lasted about a year and it went out again, so I...

Everything electric on L2900 tractor is dead

Have you checked the "safety" switches that may be located under the seat or in the shift selectors? Not knowing your tractor year or model I would assume some silly switch is open not allowing it to start. My tractor is older, but my dad has a newer b7800, and I'm sure surprised on how many...

    B8200 Power steering

You can find info about the kit I used from here. I did a little photo write-up here a while ago. Part 1 and Part 2.

    Bx2200 strange problem

I'm not sure what the hoses go to, but they are between 1500-2000 PSI of pressure. NEVER put you hand near one that is spraying, that stuff can be injected right into your body, and can cause major damage to your hydraulic system!!!!

    G1800 blowing oil

Don't know what motor is on that unit, but on my D950 the hydraulic pump seal can go bad, thus allowing hydraulic fluid to get into the engine, and then overfill the oil reservoir and run out of the breather tube.

    L185 oil pressure

Although not an L185, you can see my adventure with the idiot light malfunction on my B8200. I'd be willing to bet the thread pattern on your motor is the same as mine. You can easily get a metric to english thread adapter. I bought a little kit at the local AutoZone for around 5 bucks, then...

    Newbie Question

If memory serves me, only HST models have a screw on external filter. On mine, it is under the left fender. Looks just like a car oil filter, so it's easy to spot. If you have a manual tranny it may not have one. There is a filter screen on the suction line on the right hand side of the...

    Got a deal on a broken B6200

Sounds like a governer issue to me. This is different than a gasoline motor governer. I have no experience with the diesel governers personally, but I recall from other discussions that it is in the injector pump??? Could be wrong here. Old age and good memory doesn't go hand in hand....now...

best rpm range for B7800 kubota hydrostatic ?

The tractor is designed to optimally run at the 2600 RPM line. This is not redline for the engine. The PTO is spinning at 540 RPM when the motor is at 2600 RPM's. A slower working RPM actually causes the tractor and your implement to work harder to do the same amount of work. Once you feel...

    Recommended Grease for BX2360?

Silly dealer just wants to make more money off you. Kubota doesn't make grease or oil. They just buy some stuff from one of the big boys and stick their label on it then double the price. Stick with a quality product and you will be golden. I prefer Amsoil lubes, a little more money, but...

    B8200 oil pump

Found a metric adapter and picked up and installed a mechanical oil pressure gauge. Cost of materials was about $20, time to install was about an hour, peace of mind, priceless! There isn't much space on the dash, so I placed it a little low, and on an angle right next to my "cruise control"...

Cool. I didn't know they made a diesel lawn tractor! Thanks for sharing.

    B8200 oil pump

The plot thickens. So the thread pattern to the sending unit is M10 X 1.0 for anyone interested. I found my pressure gauge from my old Ford backhoe. It was standard, but the connector was nearly the same size, and made of brass so nice and soft. So I threaded a couple turns into the block...

    B8200 oil pump

Sounds like I need to throw a gauge on it to see what the pressure is. Not sure on the total hours. The problem was that this hour meter rolls over at 1000 hrs (kinda silly of Kubota to think that was sufficient), so it could be as few as 1300, or as many as any number as long as it ends in...

    B8200 oil pump

Thanks for the heads up. Did you happen to find that plug in the oil pan when you pulled it? As was mentioned by bruce, and in your thread, are both plugs on the same end of the shaft? Or did you have to try to find the other plug?

    B8200 oil pump

I had thought about trying a gauge, but with the new sending unit doing the same thing, I figured that there is a low pressure issue. I wouldn't know how to check the relief spring, or for bearing wear. I've never torn apart a diesel motor, so that is out of my league. The light is not a...
