    3 point hitch

As others have said, the three 3pt will float up if not secured down. Two options, use the draw bar for trailers, which is the safest or place something under the rear of the trailer, blocks/jack, etc. to support the rear of the trailer while loading/unloading preventing it from raising the 3...

    Snowplow extension wings

Tanks again to all those who responded. I mounted side wings that I purchased from Amazon. Didn't actually follow the blade curve but think they will be OK. Maybe some of the aftermarket Kubota manufactures should look into providing such wings. Also added the rubber top flap which works...

    Snowplow extension wings

Thank you all for your posts. I have ordered mental extension wings off Amazon that are for an ATV plow. They appear to extend the width some but also are curved in some to allow the blade to carry more snow when plowing straight. When blade is angled, should still allow snow to be cast off...

    Snowplow extension wings

I have a BX 2763A front snow blade on my BX1870-1. Does anyone know of a company that builds specific side extension wings for this blade. Have already contacted bxpanded and some others who deal in aftermarket Kubota attachments. Like to find wings specifically made for this blade before I...

    Low oil pressure shutdown?

Sorry to say, a much better choice would to have been shut tractor down immediately, walk the 100 yds back, get needed oil, walk back and add. Expensive lesson learned. Might want to get a second opinion on repairs.

    [BX23S] Snow Plow Ballast

Typically yes, most have some sort of rear ballast depending on size of plow truck. Some have spreader on rear or just place weight in box. Larger trucks, i.e. dumps may be loaded with salt/ashes with spreader. 10 wheelers/tri-axles the same.

    Looking for a new trailer...

You didn't mention if the trailer was steel or alum. construction. With steel probably close to your gvwr's. If alum. not so. Length should be fine for your 3030 and truck no issue with that diesel. Attached is what I have. 18' alum. 9,900 GVW Sure-trac. 16' flat, 2' beaver tail with...

    Mechanical Thumb Question

Short answer is "YES". Relief valve will open, and you may hear a squealing type of noise presuming hydraulic system is working correctly.

Picture of your tractor on your trailer

This picture is for show only. When I transport, I securely attach the tractor including lowing the BH bucket down to the deck and strapping both the fel and bh independent of the tractor. I selected this trailer for its light weight and fold down ladder type ramps. Brakes on both axles. I...

WTB..8" or 12" new or used wide bucket for a bx23s/bt603 BH.

Thank you for your reply, just looking for a bucket without paying the high price of a new one. I do have the quick change and trenching bucket already from bxpanded. I did change my post to "used".

    Changing front axle fluid

Have a MX5100dt w/ FEL. Would removing from tires make it easier to access drain plug and fluid? Would support front with FEL. Realize it is not necessary however would make must less mess on draining fluid. Suggestions. Owners manual has fluid capacity at 11 1/2 qts., Dealer says 9 1/2...

    3 point back blade ?

Rear ballast is always an advantage with a front-end attachment. Loading of rears also help if NOT an issue with having the weight all the time. On my bx1870, my rear ags are loaded with WWF for snow plowing along with another 160# of suitcase weight. In summer I remove rear weight and change...

What fluids do you use and where do you get them?

Just like Evil suggested, important to use SUDT2 in your transmission. Good quality DIESEL oil. I personally use Rotella T6 5w-40 in both my bx's.

Too much weight in ballast box

The bx23S BH weighs in at approx. 600#. I would suggest you probably have more than that in your rear ballast. Some just fill the ballast box with sand or stone/s so they can adjust the weight as needed. I know you are past that, so I guess you are chipping if you want to take some out.

    Gaining traction

I personally would avoid chaining up the fronts as others have replied due to stress on driveline. Ballast is always the answer and tire design also plays a part. Add weight and chain up the rears if needed.

Damaging Rear PTO bush hogging ditches

Some also remove the top link to allow the bh to flex up. Also, can you mow the ditches in a different direction to avoid any issue. Other replies also apply with PTO length.
