Use of front bucket to raise front wheels of BX2350

I want/need to install some front wheel chains on my BX2350; I was wondering if using the front bucket to raise the front of the tractor to put cement blocks under the front of the frame is a stupid or dangerous idea?

Chains for front wheels on 4WD BX 2350 ?

I was thinking of adding snow chains to the front wheels of my BX 2350; I already have chains on the rear wheels year - round, and thought it would be a good idea for the front wheels to have them too. Good idea? If not, please indicate why not; if a good idea, where would be the best place...

    Winterize BX2350 kept under a lean-to

I have a 20 year old BX2350 that I take good care of; my question is: Can I take an old soft used blanker and cut it to fit around the battery to protect it in low (32 degree weather) when kept outside under a lean to (open sides)? or should I purchase some kind of battery warmer, or keep a...

Which is better: battery blanket or magnetic fluid warmer?

I have a Bx2350 that's about 20 years old; I try to take care of it, but last winter was a doozie in Spokane, WA. So I want to preheat the engine (battery and engine oil) this year to make it easier on the tractor. What would you recommend for this aged tractor to make it easier for it to plow...

    BX2350 canopy

Two years ago, I purchased a canopy for my tractor; apparently the instructions are for a 2" X 3" ROP... The clamps for the "Receiver" don't fit... my ROP measures 1 1/2" X 3". The instructions say JD-018 at the top... I haven't a clue where I purchased it, who makes it, or how to jerry-rig...

    BX2350 Questions: changing HST filter

I have an older (2006) BX2350 with a BotaProducts mod which moves the HST filter to the left loader mount using hoses to connect from the transmission to the mod which consists of an adapter, which houses the actual filter. My questions are: When I remove the old filter from the adapter...

Thoughts on leaving my snow chains on year--round?

I have a Kubota BX2350; I just spend all day putting chains on 1 wheel! Makes me wonder if I would damage anything by leaving them on all year long? The tires are the ones with the knobs; I only use the tractor for small gardening (1.5 acres), rototilling and small jobs around the property...

Correct way to install new gasket for chain box on FM TL-105 tiller

Hi again... so, I got the chain installed, along with the tension bar; it seems to be correctly installed. So, now I have to put the gasket on between the cover and the tiller. After many weeks, I finally got the gasket, seems to be made from some kind of thick gray oiled(?) paper. My...

Need image of chain installation for a FHM FH-TL105 tiller

Hello... I purchased the above tiller from Betstco (big mistake!) and less than 8 hours of use, the chain broke. I contacted the seller, but so far, no cooperation, even tho' it's fully covered under warranty. They did send me a new chain and gasket, but didn't take measures to ensure the...

    FHM tiller tines not turning

I have a FHM FH-TL105 rotary tiller; the PTO clutch assembly turns the transmission shaft, but the blades don't turn. I suspect that the transmission chains are the problem (broken), but don't know how to tell without tearing the unit down... any other ideas of what might be causing the problem?

FH 41" Rototiller (FH TL-105) only goes 6" deep

I bought this rototiller several months ago and tilled an area (three 20' rows) for next Spring. The tiller only goes 6" deep; it has skids preventing it from going deeper. What are the pro's and con's of removing the skids so I can get another 1-2 inches deeper? The soil is mostly fine sand...

    Couple of lame questions...

Morning... I don't want to damage anything while attempting to install the fuel lines to the BotaProducts fuel filter replacement; Mike gives me wonderful responses to my emails, but I don't want to bother him for non-product inquiries. That said, here are my questions: I want to raise the...

Are the "C" hooks always facing the outside of the tire?

I know this is probably a lame question, but I installed my ATV Diamond Tire chains on my BX2350, and wasn't paying attention to the logic of the installation. I installed the right side with the "C" hook facing out, and on the left side, the "C" hook is facing the inside of the tire! After...

BX2350 losing power on small hill

This is my first post... my BX2350 (purchased in 2006) never had any serious problems with it until now. When going up a minor steep hill (driveway) it acts like it has no power and is going to die; by moving the hand throttle up and down quickly, I can get it to move up the hill and back to...
