    Home Brew Pressure gauge setup

Still foggy this morning. That's the only pressure adjustment I am aware of. I'm thinking setting the relief is essentially setting the "working pressure", correct? How long is that "safe" for? Since there would be no "return to tank" in that line, the relief would be lifting almost...

    Home Brew Pressure gauge setup

Good idea on the gauge. Clear me up here. Maybe my terms were wrong. If I have the gauge on a Tee and a fitting on each end, the setup will be "in series", and the gauge in "parallel" ? I did get up late this morning.

    Home Brew Pressure gauge setup

I get it, I think. It would be just for setting the relief, regardless of what I implied. Just wanting to make sure the pressure is correct as I've read a lot of reports Kubota tends to be set low from the Dealer or Factory. The TSM calls for a specific adapter, but no longer available...

    Home Brew Pressure gauge setup

Got a B21. Seems to be a "screw and jam nut" adjustment for hydraulic pressure. I was going to cobble up a pressure test rig that I would plug into the backhoe supply, "in series", so the BH could still operate, if I chose to do so. The test rig would be a simple "T fitting", a 3000 psi...

    Everything Attachments - Bankrupt?

I saw a post in a Kubota FB group about EA declaring bankruptcy. Thought it was BS as it originated on a TYM group, but the EA FB group is "paused" as of 2/1/2024 Their web site appears unchanged. I called but could only leave a message. Anyone know the real scoop?

    B21 right floor pan removal

That crossed my mind at one point. But I coated the floor pans with Herculiner a while back, being too cheap to buy the actual "floor mat". I'd have never been able to scrape enough of that off.

    B21 right floor pan removal

So I found. Seems to work fine, pedal feels different of course, but it goes fwd and rev and stops. Stops a lot less abruptly, which is the purpose I guess. Weather has been too wet to do much but, so far, so good. Pretty sure I could have done it all without the floor pan tango.

    B21 right floor pan removal

There's two along the top front edge. Never did get it all the way out though. Maybe if I had completely removed the cluster and pedestal, but, maybe next time.

    B21 right floor pan removal

That helped but still have some clearance issues. But I only made the fender loose, so still need to push it some. Now it's raining so, all stop.

    B21 right floor pan removal

Replacing the HST damper. The "neutral centering" seemed a bit "loose" to me, so decided to take a look. Gotta remove the right floor pan to get a good look. Got the pan "free", by removing a number of bolts, some very reluctant, the brake springs and the parking brake lever. But . . . I...

    Bucket cam

I have a 2 inch receiver tube welded on the bucket, so, looking for a very small camera I could put in there, with a fabricated slide in mount/shield. As if sliding in a ball hitch. Might work to keep it somewhat protected. But finding one seems to be hit or miss, buy and try.

    Bucket cam

Thinking of something like that myself. Any problems so far with your "load" knocking the camera off, or worse?

Replacing HST Damper (32721-43350) on B21

Any advice on how to change the Damper for the HST pedal linkage on a B21? None is currently installed, as the PO replaced it with an arrangement of springs. At the time of purchase I had no clue that was not "stock". Pretty pricey for a shock absorber and wondering if I really need to replace...

BT 571 backhoe on B21 TLB, repairing

Oh, sorry, the swing casting is fine. Except maybe for the original question about the slip fit rings. The pins are the question. Now I think the screws should just bottom out in the holes to lock them in place, as having threads would seem to present problems, like getting the threads...

BT 571 backhoe on B21 TLB, repairing

Wondering if those pins are not actually supposed to be threaded and the apparent threads are impressions from the screw threads from the pins moving around a bit under strain.

BT 571 backhoe on B21 TLB, repairing

On another note, I am pondering replacing the two main pins, already replaced the "bushings" they ride in. That was fun. I found the set/lock screws loose when dissembling and right away was concerned. The wear on the pins seems withing "factory spec" but I get a bit squishy about putting...

BT 571 backhoe on B21 TLB, repairing

Lock Tite or Permatex? They both offer stuff with similar name and function. Any experience or opinion with the "wax stick" version?

BT 571 backhoe on B21 TLB, repairing

While taking things down to remove boom cylinder for reseal, took on replacing some bushings in that area as I felt there was "too much slop" as I moved the boom. Seemed like the pivot and such were a bit free. I found two bushings, or "inner rings" on the swing frame where the boom pin goes...

B21 BH (BT751) off tractor servicing

Planning to reseal boom cylinder. The BH is in the "removed from tractor" position, which makes it a task to remove the boom cylinder. The swing cylinders are out as I resealed them and figure it is easier to move the boom, etc, when they are not in the way. I expect to replace the...

    FYI - Kubota cotter pin

FYI - The Kubota cotter pin, p/n 75599-53266 (7/32 x 2 1/2) that is being supplied in a sealed and labeled package is actually only 1/8 x 2 1/2. It is about half the thickness of what it is spec'd to be. I've informed the online dealer and they are looking into it. Yeah, I could get cotter...
