A Kubota engine in a Saturn

Some people have way too much time on their hands!

Military aircrews and ground crews cancer rates - not good!

This is sad. I hope everyone agrees with this doctor about the need to do better for our veterans, but that aside, this is a bit scary for these guys.

    Fuel issue

Welcome to the forum, but please, let's keep it to one thread. It gets pretty confusing otherwise. Here's the original post.

Just curious - notifications about likes, dislikes, etc. don't match what shows on the post

When I get notifications that someone liked, disliked, laughed or whatever one of my posts, it's common to get 2 or 3 such notifications, but when I go to the post, it almost always shows just one. Once in a while the count shown on the post matches, but usually not. Why is that?

A new cover for my BX

Well, you garage snobs can keep snobbing, but I really like my new cover. TRIGGER WARNING! IT'S SHOWN ON A MASSEY! KUBOTA FANBOYS SHOULD NOT CLICK THAT LINK! 🤪 Seems to be really good quality, and frankly, I can't figure it out for the price. 95 bucks. I'll take it! (y) Put it on for the...

A beveled backhoe bucket is beautiful

Okay, well, it's not beautiful, but it sure works better. I've been doing some trenching with my backhoe to re-route my well line and add some outdoor irrigation points (frost hydrants). Running into a lot of small roots, like half to 1 inch buggers. Occasionally bigger, but run into a bunch...

A small mistake, a small scare....

I was doing some cleanup in the yard today and got a tap on the shoulder that woke me up. Nice when you get a lesson that isn't costly. I had been using a ratchet type cargo strap eariler and left it on the floorboard of my BX. It sat there while I did other things, near my foot, but not...

Volvo VCS coolant in a BX25?

Coolants are not my thing. Ever since green went out of fashion, I've been lost. Now I need to get edumacated. I have found myself the owner of about 50-60 gallons of fresh, clean Volvo VCS coolant. I bought a bunch of IBC totes for firewood and one of them contained this coolant. (See...

It pays to check once in a while....

I needed to flush some bad fuel from the tank, and wanted to connect my battery charger to keep the battery up while I used the BX's pump to clear out the tank. Found I had some corrosion on the + terminal! No problem, I can clean that up. Once I removed the crusty corrosion, this is what I...

7Blacksmiths? Titan? Backhoe thumb - anybody heard of them?

I'm looking for a thumb for my BX25D backhoe. I see the BXExpanded item for $319, plus $16 shipping, but lead time is 6-8 weeks. No good. I see that EMP (Extreme Metal PRoducts) can have one in my hands in a week or so, but they want $414, shipped. Ouch. Found some on Amazon. I'm always...

Running a new well supply line. What about laying in 4" conduit and pulling the poly & wire through it?

I thought I'd pick a few brains tonight. I need to lay in a new well supply line and wire. I have been doing some grading which lowered the ground level, even to exposing my old line. So, it needs to go down before freezing weather hits, and it's got at least one splice in it anyway, and the...

Is Shell Rotella HD compatible with UDT?

I have an unopened 5 gallon pail of Shell Rotella HD for some reason (lost in the mists of time), and I'm trying to figure out if I can used it in the transmission of my BX25. I have tried researching it online, and have come up blank. Does anyone know if this fluid is compatible? I figure...

Rollover! Bucket arms or mounts bent. Looking for advice

Well, it finally happened. I'm a rural homeowner with a Bx25D which I bought from the original owner about 5 years ago. It's been a great little machine. Today my son (14) misjudged where he was climbing a dirt pile and rolled it. Thank the Lord for ROPS and seat belts! No injuries. :)...
