Pros and cons of snow removal options

LOL! Yeah it’s an unpleasant sound. The various hockey pucks that get launched throughout the winter make in impressive “thunk”. Fortunately, haven’t had one of those jam up the blower. Since the above photo I’ve lowered the skid shoes as you mentioned. That has helped prevent the gravel spray.

    Shipping tractor cost?

I’ve used veritread for my utv and tractor. TX to MN & KS to MN, respectively. They were each about $1500. About 1000 miles for each, so you’re probably looking at more like $1.50 per mile.

    WTB L3560HSTC L4060HSTC

I purchased my L3560 via ironplanet online auction. It only had 127 hours on it and I got it for $18.5K about 5 years ago. The shipping was another $1500. Keep your eyes open there if that sounds like something you’d be interested in. Also bought my Kubota UTV this way. Yes, you’re buying...

Pros and cons of snow removal options

Excellent review of the options! When I moved to rural MN this would have been very informative. I went back and forth between buying a skid loader or tractor. Ultimately, I chose a tractor for overall versatility on my property. I found this L3560 and bought the front blower for it. I have...

What is a good sprayer for an L4600 or B2601?

I have a 60 gallon Fimco sprayer with a Delavan stainless steel PTO roller pump (purchased the pump separately). Had a heck of a time with it, initially (My prior post). But, now it runs like a charm after upsizing some of the tubing. I maintain about 40 acres of pasture and 30 acres of hay...

Will this belly mower fit my tractor? RC72-29A

I have a L3560HSTC with mid-PTO and found a RC72-29A belly mower used for $900. Will this mower fit my tractor? Searched all over the internet and can't find this information.

    What size tiller for L3901

Running a Land Pride RTR1266 on my L3560. Works great with no apparent struggle from a power standpoint. Agree, soil, speed, depth most important considerations.

    Snowblower

You may want to try it without the third function to avoid the extra expense. I have never had to adjust the chute elevation. Depending on your scenario, there may be circumstances where you would need to, but it just hasn't been the case for me. Easy to add on later if you need to. In...

    Snowblower

Easily launched all types of snow 30+ feet. Be careful pointing it at your house or other fragile structures or plants. One of the best purchases I've ever made. The hydraulic chute rotates 180 degrees (maybe a little more). I only wish I had a third function to adjust the elevation (up or...

    Snowblower

You're going to love the L4469! It's a beast! Clearing snow has never been so much fun. In addition to 300 yards of driveway, I also had to clear a half-mile of road on several occasions where we got big dumps of snow and the township hadn't gotten to us in a timely manner. I too have the...

    Brush-Grill guard mod for snowblower?

I'm pretty sure the part you want is L4481. Cost ~$100.

    Snowblower

I have the L4469 on my L3560HSTC in Northern Minnesota and it's the perfect size. I've cleared 18" of wet snow, no problem. I think the L4479 would be fine, but it may bog down with the heavier stuff. Why not get the L4469? It's probably a little cheaper and still wide enough to cover your...

    Brush-Grill guard mod for snowblower?

I saw a picture with this mod on a L3560 once. You may try calling Messick's. Not sure why you'd need the brush guard on with that big blower sticking out front, though?

    PTO driven sprayer question

Final post on this topic, hopefully. Found time yesterday to change the bypass hose and hose to boom. They were both 3/8". The company recommended they be upsized and sent new hose, fittings and hose clamps. They arrived in 2 days. Unfortunately, they sent the wrong stuff. Fed up with it...

    PTO driven sprayer question

Didn't either, especially being that it is brand new. Was very impressed with their customer service. Sent them a message Tuesday morning through their "Contact Us" link on the website requesting that someone call me. In less than 2 hours I had a phone call (from an actual human that speaks...

    Cab cupholder suggestions?

For a phone, I would recommend a Scosche Magic Mount. I have them in our cars and even mounted one on the steering arms for my zero-turn mower. They make several types: stick-on and a handle-bar mount for bikes (or, zero-turn mowers). The handle-bar mount might work on the door handle on the...

    PTO driven sprayer question

The saga continues . . . I tried to spray again, and had the same problems with the pump not priming. Going back to the manuals for the sprayer and pump, I noted that the pump manual reports GPM for this pump at various pressure settings based on a PTO rpm of 540. I found out pretty quickly...

    Size pallet forks for L3901?

Use mine all the time. Very handy. One piece of advice: don’t get them too short, or you won’t be able to see the tips very easily. Mine are 48”. I’m 6’4”. My tractor is a L3560 HSTC. I struggle at times to see the tips of the forks when approaching a pallet at ground level. Put a mark...
