Mounting new LED lights on B2650HSD

Just got my new "attachments" in mail, so today's afternoon mission is clear. Any suggestions/hints on mounting these on my ROPS will be much appreciated. Also, any reviews on Nilight products? More specifically, mounting and using on compact tractor ROPS like mine? I've zip ties and...

    2017 B2650 Broken foot step, tack-welds.

Barely avoided a skinned knee when this let go. 1140 hours old tractor. 4 tiny spot welds taking my weight jumping on/off it for 5 1/2 years. Could have snapped anytime. And I'm only 175lbs. Hate to say it, but poor design, Kubota. Going to find a couple nuts and bolts to fix it, no welder...

B2650 coolant leaks, check those hose clamps

I have noticed a small loss of coolant i.e. the reservoir level gets a bit lower every once in a while over the 5 years since new. Checked the pressure cap, seemed ok, so let it go until yesterday when the obvious smell of coolant steam made me stop to check it out. Opening the hood with engine...

    B2782B snowblower - loosening driveline

The 2500 rpm input shaft on this snow blower has loosened at several places on me in its 5 winters of (I'm guessing) relatively hard work here in SE Manitoba. It's had the following issues i've caught before it damaged anything, and just finished a couple hours of working it over again to keep...

Just a note on all B2781/2782 series snow blowers

Keep an eye on the tightness of the four 5/8" bolts that attach the female hitch to the blower body. They have lock washers but all of mine have worked loose, especially the bottom pair. My bottom left bolt vanished completely one day, and the bottom right was also rattling loose! I found a...

    Nice timing

The hour meter right at shutdown today after a busy backhoe and box-blade afternoon on my B2650. I'll treat it to a little shop time first thing tomorrow. Fresh oil and filters await.

Seal kit install for leaky front snowblower hitch cylinder

Days are shortening so getting the B2782B snow blower's B2714C quick hitch in shape as it's sporting an hydraulic oil leak at the lift cylinder shaft seal. Ordered the designated kubota cylinder seal kit but wondering how big and bad a job it is to replace such a cylinder's seals, and could I...

B50 series w/ROPS owners, watch out for this...

I operated my box blade with the ROPS folded fully down for the first time this spring. Then I was wondering what the f*** bent my top link, and also the inner bar of the adjustable right side anti-sway linkage, when I went to change the 3-point over from the BB to the trailer hitch receiver...

    B2782B auger gearbox oil change

I just drained the gear oil for a change and the old oil looks scungy - like very cloudy or has a lot of stuff suspended in it. Before adding fresh oil, would a flushing out with something like clear kerosene to clear the bulk of the particulates sticking around inside be advised? Or maybe run...

Rear PTO safety circuit - SOLVED

I'm trying to find out why I can't get off the tractor seat without the engine cutting out from the seat presence control shutting it down. This didn't happen last year when using my WC68 chipper. Yes - tranny in N (not required but best) Yes - Parking brake firmly engaged with both pedals...

    Skid plates

Where do I get a skid plate kit for my B2650? In Canada if possible. A 2" diameter dry stick must have flipped up under there while I was backing up this afternoon in some light bush and tore off the connector cap for the rpm sensor. 0 RPM shows now on the tach with engine running, and no, it's...

Loose driveline set screw B2782B snowblower

While hooking up the front snowblower driveline yesterday the front female section slipped off the reduction box shaft into my hand, with the 1/4" key landing on the floor. Hmmm. It seems that the allen socket set screw for the key simply let the key go and it slid right off. It's a very good...

    Subsoiler for B2650

Any recommendations/experiences with acquiring and using a sub-soiler/ripper on their B2650/LX2610 tractor's 3-point? My need will be for sub-soil ripping yearly along the outside of the treed swales I'm building, to keep tree roots trained downward and not spread into planted alley crops and...

    OOPS! Let's see them!

How about a thread for showing off our tractor mishaps? For pictures and/or words of the inevitable "incidents" we experience with our machines. Mine have been minor and peripheral oops so far. The bush has laid bare a few weaknesses to attend to.

    SSQA latch lever

I'm thinking there's got to be a way to operate the ssqa lock levers using an electric actuator rather than my aging muscles or more costly extra hydraulics. Any pointers, examples, links, pics of fabrications of electric ssqa lever actuators out there? I would especially like any ideas that...

    B2650 cold climate engine oil - Rotella T6-5w40 or Semi-synth 10W-30?

It's 400 hour service time and with temps dropping outside it'd good timing to get the machine freshened up for winter. I have 5w40 Rotella T6 and 10w-130 Semi Synth oils in stock, and have heard that many Kubota tractor owners prefer the 5w-40 full synth oil, but is anyone here running it in...

Woods M5-4 Dixie Cutter bush hog shaft oil seal

This summer my neighbor 'gave me his old 5 ft bush hog, in pretty god shape, as he had bought a smaller tractor and new 4' cutter and had no more need for this one. Nice neighbor, eh? EXCEPT, after a few hours of cutting with it and parking it, it started dripping gear oil from the bottom...

    B2650 Loader Lever issue

Any B2650 owners out there finding that their right lower leg moves the loader lever when turning to look over your right shoulder? I'm finding it even more of an issue with my insulated rubber boots on. The paint is worn off the lever right where it bends back towards the valve assembly...
