L1500 Compact Tractor For Sale - Fully Rebuilt and Upgraded

Thank you! Like I said it was a labor of love that took about 3 yrs in between work and family time. I wish I had more use for it but it's a little too big for my measley 0.25 acre lot now.

L1500 Compact Tractor For Sale - Fully Rebuilt and Upgraded

Selling my fully rebuilt Kubota L1500 diesel tractor. The L1500 has 8 forward gears and 2 reverse via a high/low range selector. It also has 4 gears for the PTO. The 3 point hitch comes with a draw bar and CAT 1 top link. This little tractor is perfect when coupled with a finish mower or box...

L175 Transmission Reverse Gear/Input shaft question

@PYC Tractor , did you ever find an answer to this? I already have my tractor split to swap motors and upon looking in through the shifters see that my input shaft gears are mashed up too.

    Need help identifying oil leak

Oil level is good but unfortunately compression test is not. I only have 200psi on #2 and 300psi on #1. I added some oil to #2 cylinder to see if the rings were the culprit and was only able to get it to 300psi max. I believe the intake valves are to blame as there's a good amount of soot/carbon...

    Need help identifying oil leak

@Russell King this breather that @Dave_eng mentioned is indeed similar to what you mentioned having on your L185. I pulled the breather off this morning and inside is a piece of perforated steel, then a stainless brillo like media, then another perforated steel. Nothing was plugged or torn so I...

    Need help identifying oil leak

I'll pull that breather assembly today and see what it looks like inside. The diesel on top is from me bleeding the lines just prior.

    Need help identifying oil leak

Yea I understand it's a gray market and for the most part I've been able to find what I've needed. I figured it was some sort of breather but I was alarmed by how much oil is coming out of there. Looking at that diagram you posted, is there maybe a diaphragm or something that would help retain...

    Need help identifying oil leak

Sure thing, see the attached pic. It's on the rear of the fuel pump kind of next to the hydraulic pump.

    Need help identifying oil leak

I've been working on bringing back to life an old L1500 and I finally got it running but noticed it's spitting oil out of what seems like an overflow or something. It seems to be a decent amount coming out as the motor runs. What is this pipe and I'm guessing something isn't right so what should...

    L1500 Project Resurrection

Need a little help. Got it fired up and it has oil spitting out of the tube that's on the rear of the injection pump. Normally it has a hose hooked to it that just daylights by the oil pan. What is that tube and it was a considerable amount so I'm guessing there's something there I need to fix...

    L1500 Project Resurrection

Sorry it's been a while since I've updated everyone on this but I've made good progress. I've replaced the gear cover and water conver along with blasted everything and painted the chassis. I've installed a new (used) radiator and am waiting on new hoses and an alternator to arrive this week...

    L1500 Project Resurrection

Had some time today to work on her. I took the water cover off to see whether or not I'd be able to get away with not having to replace the gear cover. The water cover was corroded so thin that it broke in a few places with barely any force. Unfortunately the gear cover isn't looking too good...

    L1500 Project Resurrection

Cool, thanks Wolfman. Next question. There's a guy on Craigslist that has some L175s he's parting out so I sent him my list of what I see right now and wonder if it's a decent deal or not. This is what he's offering for $865 shipped to me. -radiator -throttle lever -steering wheel -battery...

    L1500 Project Resurrection

Oh and regarding what happened with the front causing all that corrosion, I have no idea. When I pulled the lower hose off the chain cover that port was full of that white salt like powder. I don't know if really old/nasty antifreeze would do that or horrible tap water maybe?!? I am down here on...

    L1500 Project Resurrection

D2Cat, yea I was able to get three of the bolts out but the first broke off. I'll have to give a go at your method with the nut plus it'll give me an excuse to pickup a welder! At this point I've gone through a can of Kroil and that was after using about a quart of the atf/acetone mix. Slow and...
