New tool and a reason to take my tractor to work!!

Luckily the industry I’m in is very small and mostly immune to economic impacts, no matter how much the world is burning people still need to pick crap up and put it back down!!!

New tool and a reason to take my tractor to work!!

Since starting my own business last year one of the tools I lost when leaving the dealership was a wire rope spooling machine, after much deliberation I designed a frame and drive system tailored to the capacity of my little L2501. Using the backhoe hyd loop and a simple log splitter valve I...

    Radial tires

Ive been on different forums off and on for the past 10 years, there is a 90-10 noise to signal ratio pretty consistently.

    Radial tires

if you can get a close match with the Alliance I would do it in a heart beat..... I dont care what anyone says, a radial snow pattern tire will rock a chevron patterned ag tires world in traction and life. they just suck at mud traction and general draw bar pull in agriculture applications.

    Radial tires

speaking from personal experience running equipment in Antarctica, the Michelin Cross Grip is amazing on hard pack snow and ice, We ran them on pretty much every rubber tired machine down there and they would push snow as hard as a rubber tracked machine. We ran a Case Steiger 450 with Cross...

    Rockhound mulcher

are they telling you what is failing on the motor? im assuming your running the FX26? if so your well inside the max and min pressure and flow requirements. im not 100% familiar with the Kubota mini ex machines but I know with Cat you have to set a valve from hammer to motor mode. with hammer...

    L2501 Modifications

I used a GT15, turbine housing housing is substantially bigger, i guess that is why I had clearance issues, infact I had to put 10-11 degrees offset in the turbo/manifold adapter to clear the hood all together. its funny though, we have never met or shared knowledge, yet our turbo layouts look...

    L2501 Modifications

@Mikemoto17, make sure you re route your CCV, I ran mine to a small catch mounted up forward of the rad, never get any oil or smell. also you may want to wrap your turbine housing, the paint on the hood doesn't play with heat to well.

    Loader boom pole

compressive forces are relative to the dynamic loading of the structure and relative boom angle. for every unit of weight lifted the compressive load on the pole will be multiplied exponentially with relation to angle of deviation. a flat boom with close to 90* of from pole moment arm to wire...

Things you wish they had told you

the massive difference between the L3200 engine and the L2501 engine is indirect injection vs direct injection. there is a JDM L series kubota that uses the same exact engine as the L2501 that makes 37hp at 2600 rpms. thats why i didnt hesitate to turn mine up and add a turbo.

    Loader boom pole

the idea of this practice is to multiply applied force for a set amount of line pull. most heavy wrecker rotators are fixed at 40,000#'s of line pull, this is the safe working load for the 1" 6x37 RRL wire rope that is standard in the 25-40 ton class. they use snatch blocks to a) redirect the...

    Loader boom pole

Dave what you are confusing is dynamic and static loads, the 1200#'s you are quantifying are induced on the localized structure of the jib itself in a compression dynamic, the jib itself will only have to cantilever 600#'s. in the crane industry we measure in line pulls and structural/stability...

    Have Fun Pricing Hydraulic Hose

    L4701 or MX5200 - Stuck on Decision

the MX5400 with the trailblazer is worth the money no question!!! the lane shark is a good tool but the trail blazer has a ton more power with its dedicated pto pump. I have run a Lane shark on a M125x, it worked good until you touched the loader or 3 point. it was kinda frustrating trying to...

    What do these do?

the hyd shut off valve is for your boom lift cylinders, there are no holding valves on the lift cylinders so the shut off cuts the loader control valve spools out of the equation (control spools are a machined fit with engineered leakage) when parking with the loader up for service or what have you.
