    Tire Chain Tensioners

I'm not sure what is meant by stretch. If you are speaking of the chains stretching, well steel doesn't stretch, it wears out, like a bike chain, indicating a need for replacement. Rubber too gets old, cracks, breaks...falls off. YMMV. If your tires are filled, remember the air valve must be...

    Tire Chain Tensioners

Here's what I do with chains; air down the tires a couple of pounds, mount your chains, air up the tires to snug the chains. Easy, no tensioners needed.

    MMM removal and snowblower install...issues

Those bolts and related bracket are to support a front end grill, If you don't have a grill they are optional,,,says so right in the manual. I might add that the K Connect manual also states to remove to remove the top pin holding the hydraulic cylinder and lower it down before mounting the...

    MMM removal and snowblower install...issues

The guy on YouTube who has all the same equipment has no K hitch bolt heads in the bumper holes I need for the rack. "The Mindful Homestead" video titled "Kubota K-Connect Front PTO and Snowblower Install, at 1:15 min. clearly shows his front bumper free of all interfering hardware. Check it...

Pros and cons of snow removal options

I'm first up! Did I win? I've a front mounted Kubota snowblower. Anything under six inches I usually don't even bother with. But when it really snows, I go downstairs to a heated garage, open the door, hop in the seat, and first pass right out the door to the town road. Can't beat that.

    MMM removal and snowblower install...issues

Just wanted to share....The mower deck had to come off as winter has arrived. With the new-to-me arthritis, which really...if you got it, you know...anyway, with wifey's help we went at it. In an effort to make things easier, we turned the anti scalp wheels sideways; three of them, one was a...

Mower drive shaft to mid pto issue

And now the end of the story.... The tech shows up, pulls the shaft off, gives the collar a couple of twists, and pops the damn thing right on the pto. He says, new stuff, paint etc., just needs to break in. What I think is that my cleaning, lubing, and sitting over night must have loosened...

Mower drive shaft to mid pto issue

I removed the PTO end of the mower deck shaft and cleaned and lubed the heck out of it thinking yeah, maybe it was just gunked up. That's when I found out the collar doesn't really even pull back, yet alone stay back on its own.

Mower drive shaft to mid pto issue

The dealer is sending a tech over, maybe today, they are of course busy. The mower was tested before it was delivered; no problems. But earlier this year I had an issue with a flow diverter on the snowblower which also worked fine until I tried using it. I still think the coupler on the shaft...

Mower drive shaft to mid pto issue

I know that the slip joint goes together only one way...I did not know that the pto end is the same deal. But if the collar does not pull back at all, I guess all bets are off.

Mower drive shaft to mid pto issue

Yesterday the wife and I tried to mount our mmm to the BX2380. All new equipment. On the face of it, this is a pretty easy thing to do, but we struggled for nearly two hours and could not get the drive shaft to mount to the pto. There's very little room under the machine to begin with, and...

    ROPS Light Bracket Help

2021. The truck is a bit quirky, the interior very plain. But it is as "custom" as I would want. It's pretty capable.

    ROPS Light Bracket Help

Not much to add here, but I found this thread interesting. And welcome to the forum. This winter I used magnets to mount rearview golf cart mirrors on my BX. They work great. Only problem, the dealer applied some sort of ceramic stuff to polish up the machine, and that stuff is slippery...

    Hydraulic diverter on snowblower

As an aside, we really haven't had any snow. The early forecasts predicted a mild winter, cold but little snow. I remember one winter when I didn't even mount the snowblower. Now I've got a brand new commercial blower and no snow! Guess I shouldn't complain. Have a good one friends.

    Hydraulic diverter on snowblower

Update and last entry. The tech just left. He replaced the whole unit; the thing was defective and how it ever worked at all is a mystery. The original unit was installed at the dealer, and a function check showed that it worked just fine. It wasn't until I put it to work did it fail...

    Hydraulic diverter on snowblower

Truth is I traded my bx2370, snowblower, and mmm in on new equipment. It was all payed for, got a nice trade value, and with zero percent financing I went for all the bells and whistles. I'm bummed the diverter crapped out by falling apart. So here I am, waiting on parts. I had to unbolt the...
