    Doubtful repairs under warranty

For the second time my Kubota BX25D-LBH failed and went to the dealer for repairs. The first time was in the middle of Covid which delayed things months. This time I was suspiscious so I documented things well. I opened the rear access plate to see the PTO damage. I took lots of photos and...

    second transmission

First transmission broke while using the back hoe in a wash. THe tractor slid down the hill and a large rock poked a hole in the bottom of the case. Rare, but since then I have had an oil leak around the rear PTO cover plate. Today that hole became a mess. The rear plate is broken in 4 pieces...

    Front Loader stuck

I was moving several large wood biscuits and now my loader is stuck half way up. I can see the hydraulics applies pressure to the cylinders when I move the levers. It seems there is a mechanical bind somewhere. I have disconnected the hydraulics and reconnected them. Nothing changed. All other...

    Better tires BX25d

OK so I have now cut through 2 front tires. In fairness the shale rocks are real sharp and when it is muddy I sink quick. Still is there anything out there better then the Carlisle R4 tires. They only have 4 ply sides and fail quick. Day to day it is no problem but when muddy I kill a tire every...

    3pt finish mower Land Pride

I have been reading a lot on the different mowers out there. For now I am just hogging most of the 10 acres but I do have about 1.5 acres I mow now. Within a couple years I want to convert 5 acres to nice grass or at least county park quality grass. As I looked many still call the Land Pride as...

    MMM or rear 3 pt?

Many have an opinion bu I am curious of specs. I prefer the rear 3pt mower so I can take it on and off easily. The MMM I would have to modify my belly cage and stuff. Not a big problem but not what I want when we mow weekly out here. I own 11 acres and it is rolling land with a lot of tree line...

    BH Dolly

I have been reading all the great ideas and even bought all the metal and casters. Then the other day I had to hook up an auger quickly and the barn was a mess. I did not have the room to unload like usual. As I was pushing things aside with the back hoe as I was also feeling lazy I uncovered a...

What Brand Hydraulic / Tractor oil does the orange like best?

Well I am at 10 hours and checked levels. Hydraulic oil is low. I know my old 7.3 was picky about what oil I used and brand and my little Fiat only likes synthetic but does brand matter on a new BX25D1? Manual only states Kubota Super UDT-2. Not exactly available everywhere close by but worth...

    Burning wood pile with BX25

It has taken some getting used to. I am a bit large and riding this little guy can be comical. With each hour I am getting better. The power is very limiting. I watched the tree guys cut stack grapple flip toss and play with these trees like toddlers and lincoln logs. For the BX it was a...

    tool bag

I have seen many really cool modifications and with only a few hours on my own tractor I am continually looking for the same few tools. A tool box of sorts was needed soon. Many fabricated old boxes to fit between the ROPS and Manufacturers made brackets to limit even more the easy access to...

    BX25d1 and auger

Can the BX25D handle an auger with a 6 inch bit? The dealer was very hesitant to sell one. I have seen the PD10 fits and I know a 12 inch bit would be a lot to ask, but I am getting older and would like to be able to dig 18-24 inch post holes for small fencing. A 6 inch bit would be enough for me.

    Going orange

I have rented a Kubota more times than I can remember over the last 30 years. The size of the jobs I was able to do with such small tractors has been unbelievable. The dealer wants me to buy a B26 but I am retired and have plenty of time. I am going for a BX25d1 without a belly mower. It is...
