Broken 3PT Hitch Feedback Rod on B3030HSDC

I was wondering if I'd get ribbed for the attachment color! From your experience, it sounds like I should dig deeper and try to lube the inboard shaft before it seizes up, too. Thanks for this link -- misery loves company! My cart is bolted together. I also got mine for free and it's a bit...

Broken 3PT Hitch Feedback Rod on B3030HSDC

It's all back together! I used a torch to heat the lift arm and punch out the seized pin. The pin measures around 0.392", so I used a 10mm drill bit to remove the rust in the bore in the lift arm. It may wear off quickly, but I painted the ID of the bore as an extra measure for corrosion...

Yep. I made two marks. Good thinking.

Broken 3PT Hitch Feedback Rod on B3030HSDC

Well, after three days of frequent applications of penetrating oil (PB Blaster and Kriol) and focused heat (I used a small torch as I was afraid of melting something adjacent with a bigger torch), I was making some baby steps, but the pin was still stuck. I ended up removing the circlip on the...

Broken 3PT Hitch Feedback Rod on B3030HSDC

You are correct! That pin is seized. I've started hitting it with penetrating oil and have ordered a new one. That is going to be a bit of a bugger to remove as there isn't much working room. Thank you!

Broken 3PT Hitch Feedback Rod on B3030HSDC

I found that the "Feedback Arm" controlling the three point hitch is broken. I have ordered a new one and have two questions: (1) Why would this break? Is there a lot of load on it or is this a symptom of another issue? (2) Any tips on replacement? Thanks, - Josh

The Quick Hitch sounds like the best route. I'll watch some videos to further understand how they work. Thank you for the reply!

Attaching Implements to the Rear PTO. What am I doing wrong?

Now I'm jealous and will seriously consider going with the Quick Hitch. I see you are in Southern NH. I'm in Newfields. Enjoy the snow today!

Attaching Implements to the Rear PTO. What am I doing wrong?

Good tip. I use grease, which is a magnet for everything. I'll go the oil route. I can totally relate. During my "saga", my 5 year old daughter kept calling "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" because she found a slippery spot underneath the newly fallen snow and wanted me to pretend to ice skate with her...

I'll definitely concentrate on getting the splines as clean as possible and lubricating well. Thanks!

Attaching Implements to the Rear PTO. What am I doing wrong?

Good compromise. It's certainly difficult to get fingers around the plastic "cone" and grip the PTO collar. Thank you!

I also like living on the edge if it makes life easier. Thanks for the tip!

Attaching Implements to the Rear PTO. What am I doing wrong?

Yeah, that plastic shield definitely wasn't my friend. Good tip. When you say "by hand", do you mean grab a wheel and rotate?

Attaching Implements to the Rear PTO. What am I doing wrong?

I could do a better job protecting the PTO shaft when not in use. Maybe I could grease it and wrap it in a protective cover. Thank you!

Attaching Implements to the Rear PTO. What am I doing wrong?

This is great info. I have never heard of PTOlink. I especially like this review on their website. I can relate! Thank you!

I'm not familiar with "Ask Tractor Mike", but will check it out. Thanks!

Attaching Implements to the Rear PTO. What am I doing wrong?

More elbow room would certainly reduce frustration. Good tip! Thank you.

Attaching Implements to the Rear PTO. What am I doing wrong?

Good tip. I haven't tried this. This would allow me to "wiggle" the implement side a bit without moving the tractor side. Thanks!

I did not try this and will do!
