Thanks - it appears to have been the seat. I taped a washer to the bottom of the seat and mowed a couple of hours - the problem went away.

It dies like it is losing ignition - fairly certain it is a safety switch.

Yesterday I fired up my Kubota B3030 for the first round of mowing with the 72" belly mower. The engine starts to die intermittently when I'm on the seat, PTO is engaged, and HST pedal has us moving. I'm not sure which switch is faulty - sometimes it seems to stop dying when I move around on...

Thanks, everyone. It has rained here a lot in the last few weeks and I think the problem has to do with the fact that I let the grass grow too long and it held a lot of moisture - streaks not easy to avoid with that combination. :o

I have some linkage for a RC72-27B if you need it. I bought the deck for my B3030, and some of the linkage did not match (the b3030 deck is supposed to be a rc72-30b, so I bought some new linkage and made it work).

Looks to be in good shape. It is important to note: does it come with all of the linkage? All new linkage will probably cost a person $1000 or so. Also might be worth noting that this is basically the same deck as the RC72-30B , but the linkage for that model is a bit different.

Can't speak to the rocky soil, but there is no reason it wouldn't work better than standard bucket. In terms of durability, it is about 4x as thick and strong as the bucket you attach it to.

IMO, Tiller will get you a better seed bed by really breaking up the soil. Cultivator will break up the soil but not as much (you will have larger chunks).

They told me they were working on some other attachments for the B series, but outside of the tooth bar only supply things for the BX's since there are so many (and the buckets are much more uniform).

I'm unfortunately not going to be much help here, but I will note that my B3030 has a similar issue with the float - the joystick will pop out of it. That said, it does seem to work if I hold it in the up position.

The L bucket is likely bigger than the one I have on my B3030, but I got my BXPanded PTB for a little over $300.
