Help with BX hood staying open

The strap merely holds the hood partially open so that the side panels can slide into place. If your side panels are loose (post #1) it sounds like they are not properly engaged with the firewall.

    battery service

Thanks everyone. The operators manual had me confused, it was written for both this maintenance free battery and batteries with removable caps. I will be picking up a replacement battery this AM, hopefully it will last 12 years like the OEM.

    battery service

The battery in my BX2360 is dead. I would like to check the electrolyte level and recharge it before buying a new battery. My operators manual has a section on checking the level. However, the fill ports are flush with the top of the battery. Can flush top caps be removed, if so how?

BX 50 Inch Snow blower Hand Crank Bracket

My pdf file for the BX2750D blower shows two brackets for the chute rotation handle. A shorter bracket, 70060 02684, for the BX tractors and a longer bracket for the B. Yes, the bracket mouted to the FEL controls is a PITA. I converted to a hydraulic chute rotation and have never been happier.

    L245 - Had a "clunk"

A shade tree tip to remove pilot bushings; pack the hole in the bushing with a heavy grease, wheel bearing grease works great, and then drive a "tool" that has a slightly smaller OD than the ID of the bushing into the opening. The grease will force the bushing out.
