I believe the issue was with the side walls not sealing with my tires as well. I went with tubes in both front tires, and have since had no more problems.

My guess is the factory did this on purpose to secure it for transport. The dealer is/was supposed to correct it after delivery to the dealer and before sale to the customer.

I paid cash to get the $1000 price discount when I bought my BX. As others said I itemized my taxes and it made more sense to take the discount and pay a lower total price in my instance.
