BX 2250 FWD Drive shaft troubles. Please advise...

While I've not spent my whole life fiddling with u-joints, this whole "phasing" thing isall new - and i am hoping - the saving grace to my FWD vibration issue. I replaced both of the U-joints...and tomorrow I will have to climb under and see if the yokes are in alignment. WHO KNEW !!!??? lol...

BX1850D: Needing some guidance in replacing forward propeller shaft oil seal

last update. Of course, Kubota couldn't use just a standard piece of fuel hose (PN# 09661-40525) (that's what they call it in the IPB). Appears that it is 5/32" (4mm) on one end and 1/4" or so on the other end. BOTH of the local Kubota dealerships don't carry it in stock. $7.50 +$14 shipping +...

BX1850D: Needing some guidance in replacing forward propeller shaft oil seal

The good news - I found the problem! It took some doing - as in removing ROPS, the bottom fuel tank supports, and other odds and ends until I could lift the fuel tank up. In the top of the transmission case is a 'port' with a rubber hose that was so brittle that it nearly crumbled when I found...

BX1850D: Needing some guidance in replacing forward propeller shaft oil seal

Looks easy enough! :) The good news is that a new HST filter is installed. The bad news is that it still leaks like a sieve. With the tractor running, I stuck my head up under with a high power light....and the leak is coming from above the FWD shaft/bearing. Somewhere, something "higher" on...

BX1850D: Needing some guidance in replacing forward propeller shaft oil seal

Out of the blue, my little orange critter started leaking tranny oil. It looked like the leak was coming from the oil seal for the front propeller shaft right at the tranny spline stub. I removed the HST filter and in examining it, I thought I detected a super tiny pin hole. I was super pleased...

    Spanner wrenches

I really really wanted to do it with the right tool. And, being the boom cylinders will most probably need new seals soon, I was more than willing to buy a spanner for each size. What a PIA. Of course, Kubota publishes no spec what-so-ever of the pin size - or even a 'referral' to a model or...

    Rodents / mice / chipmunks

Get some peppermint oil - dilute a bit with some water - and then spray, spray, SPRAY anything that looks even remotely chewable. Had a critter get up under hood of my truck and chew 1/4 the way through the main engine wiring harness. It took me 2-3 days to put it all back together. And then...

    Spanner wrenches

I'm rebuilding my bucket cylinder....and so far....absolutely NO ONE has a frigging spanner wrench that will fit this cylinder. The cylinder is 3" in diameter - but the pin is 15/64. (I used a drill index until I could find that one size that fit perfectly.) Of course after spending too much...

    Front end Loader LA302

I have same problem on my 203 bucket. AND... some very excellent vids on how to rebuild were posted a few days back. https://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/threads/cylinder-reseal-repair-pt1.53660/

    Cylinder Reseal/Repair PT1

    The ones that really drive me crazy are 6 bolt wheels but only 5 spokes! I'm thinking it is a conspiracy to push some of us over the edge...right on off the edge of this flat planet.... ;}

    Cylinder Reseal/Repair PT1

Ok....losing some hair. My bucket's hydraulic is 3" diameter. Checking McMaster, the spanner wrench for a 3" cylinder has a 5/16 pin. But!!! I just happened to have some 5/16 rod - and it won't fit in the hole. I tried 1/4" - - - still too big. Closest i can get to fit is a drill bit that is...

    Bucket won't stay in position

there are 4 quick-connects on the right side of the FEL. I'll trace back to disconnect the bucket lines. One thing I noted when it started this was a quirky chirp coming from just under the display control panel. That chirp has now stopped. And if I am any where near right in my assumptions -...

    Bucket won't stay in position

Your so right. I fired her up....just kind of ran the bucket fully in both directions. Came inside. Door bell rang from FedEx delivery. Went gathered up the packages - came back to the house - and the droop has returned. 10 minutes! But the good news is all the other stuff stayed up, which...

Even Kubota knows plastic body is no good!

Cuz mine is right at 15 years old and a plastic body was all they offered when I went to the dealership. My little riding lawn mower had choked and died on some johnson grass - and the stuff was starting to take over again. And, being i had absolutely ZERO experience with tractors and/or Kubota...

    Bucket won't stay in position

WoW! Holy Toledo! I took a shower last nite with Dr Bronner's Heal Earth Peppermint body wash and today - MY BUCKET DOESN"T DROOP! Fired her up this morning and parked it with the FEL all the way up and the bucket positioned so that gravity had the controlling hand. I also pulled the belly...

Need grease gun - new L2501 owner

Being i have hordes of those Ryobi 18v batteries......I just may find one of those battery powered grease guns in my collection. My only beef with Ryobi has to do with their battery chargers. I really like to flip on my workshop stereo and listen to the radio. But! I have to unplug the Ryobi...

    Bucket won't stay in position

I looked at the Kubota rebuild kit for the bucket cylinder - and just about fell clean off my chair at the price. $169 !!! A full set of seals for the same cylinder is available from Tornadoparts.com for $21. I am very tempted to rebuild it with the non-Kubota parts.... FWIW - other than...

Need grease gun - new L2501 owner

Based on the pile of defunct grease guns at my workshop's trashcan - I must be way too friggin stupid to operate a grease gun. I've even watched youtube videos to do the air bleed and cock the rod - and still the damned thing won't squirt with any reliability. Just today - another 2/3 tube of...

Even Kubota knows plastic body is no good!

The implied message from Kubota is that plastic is no good on a tractor. Yet - Kubota is guilty of the same crime.
