That stinks. In the last 20 years we have had 3 problems that we called about. The phone has always been answered and a return call with a solution. They actually found my package about 60 miles away and had it pulled from the system then put in a courier bag and transferred to them finding...
Cleaning our the root cellar. Roasted veggies. Last years onions, sweet potatoes, Yukon gold potatoes, carrots, beets, and garlic from the garden. Love to go shopping in the root cellar.
I am finding that many companies have switched to Amazon shipping and orders from them arriving with the Amazon trucks. It seemed to have started after the last UPS rate hike. I like it because there's now accurate tracking and deliveries. Amazon delivers to our house just about everyday...
Same thing happened to me. Call your local post office and they can have it stopped and shipped to them. Barcode gets damaged and not fully readable so it goes into an endless loop in the area. I watched mine do that over a week and my post office did a hold and transfer that solved it.
A pot of Boy Scout Soup. It was a easy meal for when our troop went camping years ago that we still make
Here's an old video about how easy it is to make.
I cleaned up a couple inches yesterday. That wind turned a couple inches into nice drifts. Should have put the blower on this year but didn't need it the last 2 years so didn't bother with it.
Just found a box UPS FedEx threw in the snowbank. A new suspension seat for my excavator and didn't know it was coming today. Luckily the dog smelled something so I went to look over the 3 ft drift across the driveway and there it was. An hour longer and it would have disappeared under the...
200 taps !!! 😲 I only do 12 and have enough syrup for 5 years. I have a very crude setup for boiling that takes forever. After this cold, you should have a great year. Have fun.
Same with us. Extremely cold with up to 4 ft drifts. Whiteout conditions from lake snow. Woodstove cranking to keep it at 70 degrees inside but a room full of big old Anderson 30 year old double pane windows have ice on the inside in the centers where vacuum has bowed the glass in over the...
We can't make good clam chowder either. This is a good one that were having. https://shop.cousinsmainelobster.com/products/new-england-clam-chowder
It's shipped frozen and tastes fresh. Some things are just worth buying.
It does get too cold to snow up here every once in a while when lake...
Our forecast is 22 below windchills tomorrow with 8 inches of lake snow. Soon I will have burned a normal seasons worth of firewood. It has been a cold one. Just took a big bag of Cousins Lobster frozen New England clam chowder out of the freezer for the next 2 days. We were saving it for cold...
I can tell you that I bought a dozen pair of them and a pair will last about 1 day doing firewood. Very comfortable but very little abrasion resistance. Great for gardening and pruning. They go on sale for a six pack for $19 and I bought 2. I'm still looking for gloves that last and these Wells...
We have had over 2 ft the last week. A little lake snow everyday adds up. The plles along the road are almost 8 ft now. That's my mailbox sticking out. The plow drivers are amazing
We had a USPS mystery 2 years ago. My wife bought something on walmart.com and it showed as shipped to our address and delivered a couple days later according to an email. We didn't get it so called the local post office, they ran the tracking and it showed as a .2 ounce package instead of the...
Usually when they are up the load blocks the rear view mirror anyway and trucks have good side view mirrors. I don't get any noises and the supports keep the bumpers against the window. Not really noticeable. For partial loads just flip the required ones and use the straps.
