    Unbelievable Depreciation on Some Vehicles

I wouldn’t necessarily base my purchasing decisions on a click bait YouTube video that’s for sure.

Oh and to answer your question about the tie rods, yes I did get longer ones from a local hardware supplier. They don’t need to be anything special. All thread rod is the name. I’m sure McMaster-Carr sells it online. Higher the grade the better but standard works also...

Those are the parts I ordered. I built my own pedal because I’m cheap. Also part #010 in potrerboys parts pic I made myself, same reason. If you need any visual aid of a specific area let me know.

I’ve been following along. My setup is still working excellent. I use it a lot and wish I had done it sooner. As @PoTreeBoy mentioned pedal on the left is the way to go. Operation after a few uses is second nature. Any other questions just ask.

    Cracked block - fixable?

I hate to be a pessimist but I’m in the “don’t waste your time” camp. JB weld has its uses but in a pressurized cast iron situation with large temperature swings it usually fails due to expansion/contraction. It’s a cheap experiment and I hope to hear the end result after a dozen or so heat...

I was greasing manually a few weeks ago and the grease was cold, upper 30s if I had to guess. it was MUCH more difficult to operate the handle than usual.

    Cheap Pallet Fork Frame

I have a cheaper than most titan attachments one and the only issue I’ve had is the bottom flange will bend if I put too much down pressure on it. When it happens I have to bend it back or moving the forks side to side becomes a chore. In the products defense it is meant for lifting not down...

    A Fire A Day

Any wet wood creates creosote, you have to cook the moisture out of it before it starts to produce any decent heat and that leads to cool flue gasses which create the creosote. Wet wood is not a good idea and causes the most frustration with newbie wood stove owners, as they wonder why the fire...

    A Fire A Day

Any wet wood will get you in trouble, not only pine. There plenty of places where all they have is softwoods. They do light up quicker so you have to not be distracted and have flames racing up the chimney but softwoods like pine and spruce are viable firewoods when properly seasoned.
